There are often very very long queues as well i have put my shopping back several times and given up as the queues were so long and they weren;t really moving!

(Son is 'normal-sized' not chubby or unusual). Hubby can get some nice clothes here. He particularly thinks the trousers are good value and reasonable range. He seems to think that there were more cargo trousers in the Clearance shop recently than the posh Next shop at Broadmead in Bristol). All-in-all, worth visiting if you're in the Village but don't make a special trip.

You dont get points or rewards although it does come in handy if you have lost a receipt and they can look back at the records. The clothes are cheap but not as cheap or indeed the same quality as Primark. The houseware dept however sells good quality bedding and towels and crockery and for this reason I would shop in Matalan, good quality and good prices. Its just a shame that it is out of the way.

You no longer need a card to shop here, which has encouraged me to visit the store, and the only thing I can really fault it on is their online order collection service, as I had my order number, ID and payment card and they refused to serve me as I didn't have a print-out of their email on me! There are usually bargains to be found. It has a reasonable restaurant on the top floor which does cheap meals and has a view over the park behing the store.

My favourite section is on the lower ground floor and it is where they have the younger style female clothes with shops like Oasis, Dorothy Perkins and Warehouse, they have great sales on in here and it is well worth coming in for a rummage. This is also where I had my wedding list when I got married. They provide a great wedding list service where they send you off around the shop and you can scan everything you want for wedding presents then people register on-line for gifts and Debenhams send it all to you at the end, it couldn't be easier and was great fun!

This store is mid-sized with a bright, slightly clinical feel. It is generally quite tidy and well laid out with menswear at one side, ladieswear at the other and childrens wear at the front left as you enter the doors. Although the prices are discounted, I wouldn't go so far as to say they are cheap - although there is usually a sales rack in the middle of the shop that do have a few items that are cut to half price or less (although it is often easy to see why this is the case!) Being Gap - they do have a good range of jeans and casual tops but their childrenswear has the best appeal. Casual and cute, they sometimes have good discounts and can be well worth the price.

There can be some good bargains here, particularly on toiletries. It's a bit of a jam-packed store so there are days when I can't be bothered to mooch around it too much. Having said that we usually pop in and it's rare to leave without something. It's mainly clothes for men and women with some childrenswear.
