William is AMAZING. If you need any landscaping, he's the one. We have a 1 acre pond on our…read moreproperty built in the late 1950's that had been filling in with silt for the last 60 years. We hired Tucker to dig it deeper and shape it into the perfect pond that we could stock with fish. He did an oustanding job, despite the number of times we had to put the project on hold because the pond would dry up and then it would rain and get muddy again. Ug! (it should be noted that he honored his original quote, despite the number of times Mother Nature foiled our plans) He's very professional, nice as can be, and really has a vision for what you're looking for. He also really cares about the project. Our pond has a very established wetland around one side where all the wildlife (frogs, salamanders, turtles, birds, etc.) make their homes. William was very careful to not upset the ecosystem of our beautiful pond in the process of making it a good 8 feet deeper. He left the trees we wanted, and took out the ones we didn't. I really liked that, seeing as the last estimates we got, we were told either "it can't be done", or "we're going to have to tear all of this out". Horse feathers! William did it, exactly like we wanted. He has vision. He's your guy!

We eagerly look forward to engaging him again to do our next project planned for later this year. Nearly every time we drive up our LONG driveway my husband mentions what a terrific job William did. My wife and I hired Kris with K&E Finley Excavating for a wide range of work on our property: site…read moreclearing and grading, grass waterway, sediment pond, retaining walls, driveway and septic. From start to finish, his work and communication have been exceptional. What really stands out to me is the way he combines engineering, science, land management, and what I can only call art. I never thought there was an "art" to excavation, but after watching Kris work, I see it. For example, he took the NRCS plans and design ideas I had, then improved them with more elegant and effective solutions to solve our drainage challenges. Even after we had a written work agreement, Kris made sure things were done right, going above and beyond instead of just "checking the box." That commitment shows in the quality and craftmanship of the final results. The driveway, pond and waterway not only function perfectly, they look like they've always belonged on the land. The septic and retaining wall were done with the same level of care and precision, I wish you could see it. Kris will tell you that you can find cheaper excavation companies. Maybe you can find someone willing to give a lower bid, but in my experience, you won't find the kind of value he delivers. His work is built to last, and the peace of mind of knowing it's been done right is worth far more than any savings I may have been able to find. If you want excavation done right, with thought, skill, and pride in the outcome, Kris and K&E Finely Excavating are who you want on your property.
