I have recently stopped going to Lowe's in Havertown and solely go to DMI on haverford rd! They have anything I could possibly need for the projects around my house. Lumber, paint, hardware, screws and nails, tools, gardening supplies, rental equipment for those larger projects, you name it! They also do chair and table rentals if you are throwing a party and need some extras! It really does feel like a family when you walk in there. There are numerous employees walking around, constantly asking how they can assist and make your experience at DMI better than it already is. From large to small, DMI has all that you could possibly need at a great price. Give it a try next time, I'm sure you will be back!

The tables won't fit." Um, Hi. How are you? (btw, the man that loaded up our truck was wonderful and fit all 7 tables and 50 chairs in.) We unloaded the tables at home and I thought I'd just raided a trash dumpster for them. Seriously. I called the next day to complain and was told "Well it's our busy season, so you got the dregs." I'm sorry. What? No apology. Just a "well, we just got some tables returned, so we'll come switch them out." Which they did. (and again, the man that came and switched the tables was super nice.) The "new" tables were barely better, however. Fast forward to returning them. Our party was on Saturday, and the rental place is closed on Sunday. So, after work on Monday, I called to say "I know you close at 5, so I'm calling to say I will be there right around then." A woman stated "well, that's cutting it close." Um, where are your people skills? My son and I pulled up at 5:00pm on the dot. The yard gate was closed and locked. The original rude blond woman was standing outside the gate with a dog, having clearly left work BEFORE 5pm. I rolled down the truck window and the lady said "We close at 5. The gate is locked and I don't have a key." She didn't even PRETEND to care. A car with two men in day-glo shirts pulled up next to her, said something, and drove away. I'll bet they were the yard workers asking if she wanted them to help us. Clearly she did not. When I said she was going to have to pick the tables and chairs up, she said "It'll cost you $30." What?! I'm sure they'd pick them up at my house and drop them right to another customer during this "busy season"! Seriously, I have never experienced such poor customer service. I will never go back and I will recommend that no one I know does either.

We called and got a voicemail, but received a call back as we were leaving a message. The young lady who called was soooo helpful. She did not have the chairs we wanted, but she offered an option that worked better for us. We were able to do online payment, which was very convenient. They delivered the equipment on time, as promised, and all were clean, in excellent condition and ready to be set up. They picked them back up on Sunday afternoon. She was so easy to work with, offered great options and delivered exceptional service. I cannot recommend their services highly enough. We certainly were not disappointed and will call them again.

They do have a huge selection but sometimes I see the kid themed party selection is low. So if I have 20 kids for party I can't find 20 favors in the aisle. So shop early for kid themed parties. They have tons of everything and is a cool place to buy Halloween costumes. You can get custom invitations here. Balloons are also available esp the cool different ones. The basic ones are overprice ($2.99 each) especially when similar ones are at the dollar store. The check out line always sucks. Never seem to be enough cashiers... that's my only big issue.
