I was a patient of Dr. Hemingway for years. I have paid thousands of dollars worth of work that I happily paid out of pocket for knowing I was being well taken care of. I never had any issues with the handful of crowns he has done on me. I cannot say that I've received the same care or quality of work since he has left. Long story short, I needed a partial crown. Weeks later I'm having pain in that same area but was told it was the tooth behind it that needed a crown. I go in to get that done to be told that the partial cracked and I need full crowns on both. I get both crowns and still in excruciating pain. The pain that I was experiencing was ignored multiple times. I was denied pain meds and antibiotics. Turns out I need a root canal on one of them. My endodontist gives me antibiotics because there was in fact an infection. I get the root canal done and still in pain! I go back to my endodontist thinking he did something wrong but everything was good on his end. He said my gums have looked irritated. Maybe food is getting stuck. I get a second opinion somewhere else and there was so much cement left over from the crowns that was cutting into my gums and was left with another infection that I needed antibiotics for again! The cement had to be dug and scraped out from underneath my gums. Not to mention, the crowns are not fitted properly and will most likely need to be replaced. I have been dealing with this for the entire year of 2022 and out another couple thousand dollars. I was unable to be seen after expressing my concerns and there seemed to be no urgency on their end to help resolve this issue. The girls at the front have always been amazing to me and I will continue to see Candy for my cleanings since she is phenomenal, but as far as seeing a dentist there, I have taken my care elsewhere. read more

I was so excited to find out that my old hygienist from many years ago is now here at this office and I had to schedule my cleaning appointment with her. Candy is so nice and gentle and I just love how thorough she is with my cleaning and how she explains everything that she's doing. Update to my chipped tooth situation... I found myself going back into Dr. Hemingway"s Next Dentistry office the next week with a minor problem. One of my new veneer's had developed a slight issue along it's outer edge. I have a major problem with biting down hard or grinding my teeth, especially at night... I didn't hesitate since I had a few second and third major job interviews going on In Silicon Valley this week. I figured the sooner the better when it comes to dental work. I called the office and was met with hello's and quickly was set up with an appointment the next day. I entered and quickly was greeted with smiles and pleasantries from everyone. I was very impressed with how Dr. Hemingway and Dental Technologist wanted to find the root cause of the problem. After an extensive amount of time and movement of my top teeth over my bottom teeth back to front and over side to side. We all figured out the root problem together. My bottom teeth had moved quite a bit over the years... I was sure myself, I was thinking. I really was impressed that my new veneer was to be replaced with another defect free new veneer. I wanted to pay for it, it was so minor of a problem. No, it's taken care of. I was so grateful that they were concerned about total perfection for my perfect smile as I WAS... Attention to anyone that is trying to avoid the dentist!! This review is coming from someone who has serious fears and anxiety of dentists and dental procedures! I needed a root canal, and a crown, and I was so stressed out about getting these procedures done. As soon as I walked into the office, the staff was welcoming, they made me feel comfortable, and I got the work done! It was PAINLESS! Not once did I feel discomfort, or pain. It was faster than I thought, and my crown was placed right then and there! I don't have to go back to multiple appointments to get a permanent one put in place. Dr. Hemingway, is beyond helpful, and his assistant, Nancy (I apologize if I got the name wrong) was really helpful through out the whole process as well. They really do care about you, and make sure that your comfort comes first! I was watching TV, with some Bose earphones on! I never thought that I would be into a TV show while getting a root canal done! That's how painless, and carefree I felt during the procedure! Going to see Dr. Sarah Frahm is like going to be with an old friend. I love her. I started seeing her a few years ago, and soon I had enough confidence in her to let her do a major project on my teeth. I really enjoy having the pretty smile that she made for me. But last week I broke a front tooth. Disaster! But happy ending: it took Dr. Frahm less than an hour to work her magic: it is completely repair. When Dr. Frahm first became my dentist, I went there even though the office was far from my home because Dr. Frahm's partner in the practice was my friend. Then, when Dr. Frahm moved to NEXT, it was even farther from my home. I still drive all the way there -- it is worth it. Terri cleans my teeth twice a year. She is very thorough, keeps detailed records, and is very solicitous of my comfort. She uses the latest technology. The office is plushly decorated, but even if it were a dump, I'd still stick with Dr. Frahm and Terri for their know-how and dedication to my wellbeing. I was referred to NEXT Dentistry by a recent graduate of Dental Assistance school (Meagan) who told me with 110% confidence and conviction that Dr.Hemmingway and his team is THE best. In addition she added she would never let anyone else do her dental work even if she moved AND was influential factor of her becoming a Dental Assistant to come back and work for NEXT. Moving Forward- The office is amazing from the time you walk in the door and are greeted by the polite and helpful receptionist Wendy. The sophisticated lobby and LCD screen showing the transitions of his work are very reassuring for a first time visitor like myself. Once you are inside and in the chair you'll notice the comfortable massage chair with LCD screens on the ceiling to see while getting your work done and BOSE headphones to listen to the cable TV or music. The office is very clean and aesthetically pleasing along with the warm, inviting personality of Dr. Hemingway was impressive. One of the most surprising things ever was that Dr.Hemmingway *himself*, NOT an assistant, called me early the next day to follow up and was concerned on how well I was progressing after the crown and fillings I received that were a bit of challenge. I have to say i was having problems with my filling after almost a month of pain. Dr. Hemingway took extra time with me after a few visits the problem had been fix. I have a bite issue and need extra attention when it comes to my teeth. I love that he talked with me about the cause of the problems. I'm very pleased with the work I've gotten done here the last few years I've been going here for 2 or 3 years now and I can't complain about the staff everyone is very friendly from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you leave. The place is always neat and organized. They always let you know ahead of time when your appointments are coming up. They always offer you water when you are waiting. However one negative that I would say about this place that I experienced today was a "safety fee" never heard of it. I have a 4 treatment plan where you pay ahead and you get your teeth cleaned and don't have to worry about the bill until after your 4 teeth cleanings which is great! Today after having my teeth clean I was charged $20 for a safety fee and I understand new equipment was brought in to keep everyone safe from covid but it would of been nice had I been warned about this new charge when they reopened so I could of been aware of it instead of telling me when I thought everything was fine. Next time it would be nice to let customers know there will be an extra charge when they don't expect it a simple email or text would do the trick. We met Dr Hemingway at church and he had noticed my son's breathing (he was a mouth breather). My son has sensory processing disorder and goes to OT and speech. Dr Hemingway had us come in to do a CT scan to see how his airways looked. Much to our surprise, the CT scan showed that his tonsils and adenoids were blocking 80% of his airways. HOLY SMOKES. We took him to an ENT then who wanted to do a sleep study just to be sure that they needed to come out. The sleep study said he had mild apnea and that yes, tonsils and adenoids should come out. The surgeon came out after the surgery was done and said my son's tonsils were MASSIVELY bigger than her visual inspection showed. We are so grateful for Dr Hemingway for taking the time to help our son. We wouldn't have thought about his breathing had Dr Hemingway not observed my son. My son is now sleeping so much better and well rested every morning. The ENT has noticed that his speech is getting better as well. My son's OT has noticed that he's not sweating and as out of breath when he's doing his each of his tasks. read more

For some reason, everyone in my family has a major dentist phobia and Dr. Hemingway & Dr. Reber have been the only dentists that we all feel comfortable going to. I have only gone to Dr. Hemingway but I think I will now have to start going to Dr. Reber as Dr. Hemingway no longer takes my insurance. Prior to my first visit with them, which was about 6 years ago, I had been going to one of the local pediatric dentists. Although I was probably too old, I had been going to them since i was a small child and they didnt have a problem with doing my basic cleaning every 6 months and fill cavaties as needed. However, once I went to Dr. Hemingway, i realized that maybe my phobia is due to all the pain i endured over the years with my previous dentist. Dr. Hemingway has always made sure that I am comfortable and not in any pain. If i can feel the slightest bit of pain, he will stop and give me another injection to numb me up some more! He & his assistants know the anxiety I can feel when I'm there, so they make sure to make me feel as comfortable as possible. Also, their new facility is amazing! You can tell that they put a lot of money into this new location and it shows in not only the ambience of the office but in their top of the line equipment! One of the worst parts for me is having the numbing injections, however, Dr. Hemingway uses a paper thin needle that you can barely feel. If you have any anxiety about going to the dentist, I would give these dentists a chance. Explain to them that you feel nervous when having dental work done and I can promise that they will make your visit as comfortable as possible! read more

Went in to Next Dentistry yesterday 11/09/16 for a cleaning. Petra Martinez is my periodontal therapist. I recommend her highly, her professionalism and the knack of making you feel comfortable while she is giving your teeth and gums a tune up (hey, I'm a car guy) is unsurpassed. About 3/4 the way through the cleaning Mr. Hemingway stops in to say hello and does an evaluation on the condition of my teeth and gums. He found I had a small cavity and recommends that I should have it taken care of before it gets any worse. I told him I would make an appointment after Petra was finished. He said thanks and Petra continued. Well about 10 minutes goes by and Delwin (Mr. Hemingway) pops back in and says he just had a cancellation and if I wanted he could do the necessary repair right then so I wouldn't have to come back. I live about 45 min. from his practice and it all made perfect sense. When Petra finished, she numbed me up while I was sitting in her chair and then I walked to one of Delwins rooms. 20 minutes later Delwin had done what he does best, and he in my book is the best. Let me start off by saying these past few visits at this office have been amazing! I was referred to this dental office by a coworker who also gets dental care here and she did not exaggerate when she said "go there because they will honestly treat you like family" & they sure do. From the moment you walk in you'll realize you're not at just any dental office, they always greet you with a smile and are very respectful. Now the back office let me tell you... Very relaxing atmosphere, I was honestly nervous walking in but once I sat on that chair and held a conversation with the hygienist my nervousness was all gone and all that I felt was relaxation. I am visiting the area by RV from Florida. I broke my implant supported denture on a Friday afternoon and after setting up my RV on Monday afternoon; I started to look for a cosmetic dentist. After being told that there were no appointments available for my limited stay here; I found NEXT Dentistry. I was told to come right in for a consult. DDS Hemingway reviewed my needs and understood my time constraints. He had me come into the office as the first appointment the next morning and had my denture completely repaired and back in my mouth before the end of the day. The cost of the treatment was very reasonable and in fact was about 30% less than I though it might be. The friendly professional staff even filed an insurance claim for me and will refund any amount that my insurance will cover for this procedure. As a non regular patient; I can tell you that this practice would be my choice if I were living in the area. The quality of the work and compassion shown for my circumstances deserves my five star rating. read more
