This is the most amazing grocery store ever.
First off, it's a part of an organization that supports people with various needs, physical, mental and emotional.
Then, it's a working permaculture farm that sells it's various wares in the store (eggs, produce), next to many other local and/or Scottish items. Many are organic or free range, and often cheaper than at the big grocery stores. This shocked me.
Finally, they have things like spices in tiny amounts, natural cleaning supplies, and crazy chocolate (lavender Earl anyone?), food (Asian section is amazing, as is the grain and gluten free).
Where possible, this is the only place I'm going to shop.
Bit of a maze to get there, but easily walkable if you don't mind a hill. Bus stops at the top of the street, and there's ample parking down below. read more
