It has been almost a year since I stopped seeing her although, I still feel angry over her treatment of me and her therapeutic techniques. I wanted to let people know of my concerns so they can avoid the emotional turmoil that I experienced. I hate to say it, but it was almost like emotional abuse. For a vulnerable individual, seeking therapy, her therapeutic techniques are very inappropriate and can cause more damage to your well-being. I still mention the horrible treatment that this therapist gave me to my friends and current therapist. I strongly encourage you to reconsider seeing Theresa, as there are so many great therapists out there. Many of her techniques violate the NASW Code of Ethics, and put her at risk of losing her LCSW license.

He has been receiving cbt for about a year now and we have seen a huge difference in the way that he handles things that used to make him very nervous. I think that because they gave him real things he could do, instead of just talking about his feelings, he now knows that when he gets into a situation, he has something he can try to make himself less anxious. Ever since that first call, it has been an eye opening experience in learning about myself, working through my issues through all the exercises that Stephane has provided. To begin with, he is very personable, genuinely interested in your situation, takes time to really understand it, gets to the root of it, and try to sort it from there. He is someone you will instantly feel like trusting. The fact that he has so much experience in dealing with personal and professional cases helps in him understanding your case better than you yourself would. Everyone should have a coach like Stephane regardless of whether one is going through a tough time in life or not. The other great thing about him is that he is not someone who will stop you right at the end of your time limit and say we agreed upon 1 hour and the time is up. He will complete the conversation, ask you if there's anything more you need help with (every single time) and provide that help if necessary even after your session is complete. He is also very responsive when it comes to messages. His short sessions are a life saver when you need to get in touch with him outside of scheduled sessions. The flexibility, the genuineness, the personable experience, the trust factor all make him a wonderful life coach. Be it a relationship issue or a career issue, he has the knowledge and experience to provide you with solutions through exercises that create wonders. I would highly recommend his service. Oh and you don't need to be local to avail his service. I myself am in Chicago and all my sessions have been via phone and he still "gets it" without seeing me in person. I finally called the number provided in the email and left a voicemail. Someone reached back out via text asking how they could help (?!). I sent them screenshots of my appointment and asked if they had a record...still have not heard back from them. How disappointing (and frustrating) that a company who's purpose is to help people, doesn't even respond to them or acknowledge their appointment.

She is currently not seeing new patients, and I thought since we'd stopped our sessions I'd lost her...but we spoke last week and she still considers me a client even if I don't come in regularly. I haven't been in over a year but she still cleared her schedule to make an appointment for me. I love going to her because it feels more like I'm talking to a friend than a professional. Catherine gives good advice, listens well, is funny, suggests "homework" in the form of very good e-books and media that can be found for free on the internet, which I feel is pretty modern compared to my old psychiatrist. She's compassionate and empathetic, and she's very realistic. She is also highly reachable via text, I love that. Highly recommend.
