They go above and beyond to make both pets (and pet parents) comfortable. While a flower delivery and sympathy card weren't on our mind from the vet, that's just a single example of the thought that is behind everything they do. They truly are a class act and perfect example of compassionate service in Orlando. I send all of my friends here when they're in the market for a new vet. Not only are the doctors kind and thorough, but the techs and front desk staff are what really make the difference. They get to know you and your pet and are always rooting for your furry companions. I fully believe they are a large reason why my girls have lived so long - they do routine bloodwork and have caught so many underlying issues throughout the last 6 years between the 2 of our girls (high blood pressure, hyperthyroid, all the things you don't think of for a cat). We've shed a lot of tears in Garden Vet recently, and I want to thank the whole team for taking such good care of Darla and us. Grief is not linear, and can be absolutely overwhelming. We're still healing, but we know Darla was in the best hands.

Casper, my cat, had a bad experience about 5 years ago, and ever since then, he's a menace at the vet and has always had to be put under full anesthesia. He had a really stressful experience with anesthesia at the last vet he went to, so I was pretty intense with them about him having a better experience here. They were so kind and so understanding and helpful, and they never treated me like I was being too much or inconveniencing them, which I appreciated so much. No vet since the one 5 years ago has been able to touch him without full anesthesia. I'm not sure what it was about this place, but he wasn't losing his mind, he wasn't hissing, he wasn't trying to attack, and he wanted out of his carrier. I was super nervous to let him out, but I did because he seemed to be doing okay. He explored and was OKAY! It was amazing. Then our vet tech Emily was absolutely incredible and was so kind and sweet to my baby- he can be a little rude and high strung so I really appreciated that she went the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. We didn't do a full exam, but he was letting us touch him and weigh him and everything, and then they put him under to biopsy a lump. While they were doing the biopsy, they were so good about calling me to update me as things were happening. This is my new vet for the rest of forever

It was so much fun paying the high and undisclosed bill at the end of every vet visit with the unfortunate receptionist who had to break the news to me that the annual visit was over $600. My new vet has not once mentioned my dog's nerves and has inversely, embraced her for it. Additionally, the vet techs always disclose every service's cost in real time. Before I get the bill. What a concept. Annual visits are below $400 now. Greed will be their downfall.

She even took a treat which she never does when she's nervous! The whole process was extremely smooth and pleasant and I'm so happy to have a permanent vet now.

Michigan Street Animal hospital is a place that cares for animals and their owners. I have been…read morebringing my pets to this location for years. Dr Mansour has been someone I can trust to do a thorough exam and in tough times share the honest truth about my dogs condition. If you take your pets here on a regular basis, the shots are competitive to clinics offered at Walgreens and pet stores, except your pet is seen by a real Vet. They take appointments and also walk ins. My dog had a serious illness and the office was closed when he was so bad that I had to put him to sleep. Even though they did not handle this part of my pet's lifecycle, they sent me a nice sympathy card. They have their own pet's you might see while visiting the clinic. Recently I met a lady in the waiting room. She was fostering an animal for a rescue and shared how the staff had been attentive and helped her even though the charity was not understanding the animal's issues. Reasons why I recommend this Vet Clinic: 1) Years of experience 2) They will help work you in if they can the same day you contact them 3) Caring staff that have a customer and pet first attitude. They have the chart out and address you and the Pet by name. 4) In the age where you can do a lot of tests, they try to help you and obtain the tests that are necessary. When they feel additional testing is required, they present the options and possible outcomes to help you decide. I love that they take the time with each pet owner. I know another reviewer was not happy with an experience but I find that they do fact based diagnosis. I did get a new dog and before they saw her they asked that I bring any available vaccination and documentation so that we would not redo shots and they could pick the best treatment plan. If you are looking for a great Vet choose Michigan Street. It looks like a small building from the street, but it serves a staff with a big heart. They offer overnight care and surgery as well.

REMINDER TO BRING CASH/CHECKS as they charge a 3.5% fee for using a card. The front desk people are mostly fine except one girl that has a lot of attitude and is heard complaining about calls coming in. They booked an appointment that wasn't with the original vet which meant they charged for a stain that didn't even matter because the other vets wouldn't be able to tell me if her condition has improved. This is like the 5th appointment and I've been waiting for an hour as they take over 6 people in before me. This is not a review for the vet Bianca, but instead for the system and people they have employed. My experience has been awesome. Dr. Lee and Dr. O'Sullivan are both kind and great at explaining issues, having an open dialogue about care, confirming which steps to proceed with, answering my often many questions, and following up on lab results or medication changes. The techs and front office team members have also all been great; they are friendly, caring, and great about answering questions as well. One of my dogs is very challenging to deal with and they have handled her professionally and kindly in making sure she safely gets necessary care with as little anxiety as possible. They also offer boarding (for the day or overnight) which I was able to take advantage of while my apartment was undergoing renovations and they were wonderful in working with what was a fairly short notice schedule change on my end. Overall, I am pleased to have established care for my pets here and will continue to trust in them to make sure they remain in good health. Each person working here seems to have the same love and compassion for animals that I have (and that of course all those that provide care to animals should have!) so I feel at ease that they will always guide me in making the best health decisions for my babies.
