Newcastle College is a brilliant place to study for people wanting to expand their knowledge or career paths.
I have personally studied in the Mathematics and English department and here are the pro's & con's for the college.
Pro's;
- Amazing facilities
- Eager learners
- Wide variety of courses to choose from
- Friendly teachers
- A good environment for learning
- Extra support in-class for students needing help
- Easy to contact tutor's outside of class
- Free courses for people just leaving high-school
- Lessons are very organised
- Buildings are very clean inside/out
- Mixed ages mean you'll be learning alongside adults/children which can be of help outside lessons
Con's'
- The English department don't seem to take independent studies seriously enough
- For people outside of the free-course age rating, can be vary pricey
- Tutor's rarely respond to your questions outside of class (emails), especially in the Mathematics dpt.
- Rumors of workplace bullying
- Slow service from the head-office
- Lack of concern from the tutor's when it comes to individual students, but as a group they show a lot of enthusiasm
Out of 10, my verdict for Newcastle College would be a 7. read more
