Ehhhh went in last night and sat at the bar with a few people and ordered a drink, went outside to get some food from the food truck, the skinny girl security guard told me I couldn't bring the beer in when I had just bought it inside and walked out to order food while my group of 8 was inside, I told her it wasn't a problem and I would just throw it away because it wasn't that big of a deal to me. I understand enforcing no outside beverages per alcohol license but it seemed a little stretched. Went here on a bachelorette trip and it was so much fun! Not a bar I would normally have gone to but the karaoke drew us in. It was a very easy-going bar and everyone there was obviously having a great time. There's a pool table and a stage for performances/karaoke. read more

Newbys too has been a favorite spot since we moved here in 2013! Their recent renovation has made the place very inviting and beautiful for tourists. They're still a local favorite, but even better! Worst bartender ever!!! Ordered a beer and he then turns around and chats with his buddy that has 2 pizzas. Takes two slices out and just stands there and eats one of them. He finally decides to reach in the cooler t my beer. I'll never be back and will tell everyone not to go to this location. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Food was subpar and the guy at the front door was very rude! Judged my for wearing my MAGA hat very heavily. Two dudes got into a brawl and got drinks spilled all over me and no one called anyone or took care of the situation. Not a good place to go to if looking for a good night. read more

Would have been an awesome bar but the bouncer hated my friends and I for walking in while he wasn't at the door. Then when we had gotten a drink and tried to sit down at an open table he was frustrated with us because only his wife could sit there. When we tried to offer to share it with her and he just responded with she's moving to the corner. We were just trying to find a cool place to chill with friends and possibly make more but as nice as the bar and atmosphere was, that one bouncer kinda ruined the atmosphere for us. read more

Went here after dinner last night and the place was dead. Usually not a problem, but it didn't take long to see why. The staff was kind of cold and crass expecially the taller guy in the liquor store. There was no music playing and a pile of people smoking. Seriously, I get it's a bar, and many bars still slow indoor smoking, but no music. IT'S A BAR. I assumed this would be standard. In defense There was a jukebox, and I did spend like $10 in it, I just think it's jankie to FORCE patrons to spend money to have a good time. Love this bar. Nothing fancy and you can come as you are. Great place for some pool and hunch punch, but just know that punch will sneak up on you. The curve is our go to hangout in PCB. read more

Newby's Too - Fun after the sun! - Dive Bars Near Me - Panama City Beach, Florida

We had a great time here. We were visiting from out of state and came in initially to get some carry out liquor. This bar actually has 3 sections. The carry out area is more of the locals area that some reviewers are referring to when they say some folks turn to see who is coming in. It's a little confusing when you come in the wrong entrance as we did. But the staff were friendly and understanding when our out of state credit card wouldn't work. She held our purchase till we came back a few minutes later. Later, We met some friends that are locals there and everyone was extremely nice. We went there 2 more times to watch Hockey and they were very accommodating to our request. The second area is more open with a large dance floor and crazy comfy captains chairs at the bar. The 3rd area is a covered spot, the bar is shaped like a ship! They have live music and Karaoke on certain days. Great outdoor seating. Jamie and Travis were great bartenders! This place isn't exactly welcoming to people from outside the area. Its clearly a local bar when you walk in and the few people sitting at the bar stare you up and down, trying to make you uncomfortable enough to leave. The bartender Pam was nice enough and made good drinks. This place is a run down former strip club that stinks of smoke and mold. Yes, they allow indoor smoking here, you've been warned. The drinks are reasonably priced, but the package store attached is way over priced for bottles of liquor and beer. I can't say I'd recommend this place to anyone from outside the area. read more

Like I wish I could give this place less than one star but I need at least one star to review. This place is buttcheeks. They denied my Italian friend ( who is 26) entrance because he didnt have a "valid" id. As well, they're kareoke is not loud enough to sustain my vocals. My boyfriend and I came in not expecting much, just a place to kill some time before dinner. Didn't disappoint at all, we love the low key pool and darts bar scene with great drink deals so we were having a great time.. Until a couple of local dudes asked if we wanted to play pool with them, which is fine I'm all for a friendly competitive game. End of the night my boyfriend was roofied by one of these two guys and the night turned to shit real fast. So the low rating is for the douchebag "locals" who interacted with the bar staff all night acting like everything was fine until the drug hit my guy and our night soon turned into a disaster. Overall this is a fantastic place for pool and darts and the bartender we had in the main room was great. Just please be aware of your surroundings. read more

We visited Newby's Too for a couple glasses of their World Famous Hunch Punch. It was pretty awesome. Mind you, it was lunchtime when we visited, but it was still fun to chat with the locals and see the people stop in at the attached liquor store. Bring change to play shuffle board and pool. The curve is the place to go when you have nothing to do. But It's all about what you make of the experience. You can easily sit and be really fucking bored. Or you can enjoy yourself just chill listen to some live music, drink some beer, play some pool and if you get a little too drunk then sing karaoke. But the guys working there (bouncers I guess) arent usually friendly, but then again that's sort of their job. except this one bouncer I think he's Indian and black, he's like one of the nicest people ive ever met. So friendly and polite. He's awesome. The beer is inexpensive. Can't really complain. I go often cause its so close to my house I can just walk read more

A fun locals hangout. Karaoke 3 or 4 nights a week with an awesome DJ. 2 different atmospheres in one building. One side has karaoke and plenty of seating with a limited bar. This place door policy is ridiculous! We have been a few times to the Ms Newby's on Thomas Drive and all was fine but when we went to Newby's Too aka the Curve they wouldn't let us in with our German ID cards, because they couldn't find them in their US identity cards example book...Trying to explain that they will NOT find an international ID in a national book plus presenting our matching German driver's licenses did NOT help! They demanded for us to bring our passports. Most US citizens don't even have one and they are fine with their driver's license but we, being non US-citizens, are being treated really rude. Who brings a passport to a night out? You might as well bring your birth certificate and let it get stolen or ruined! We won't be back until Newby's change this policy to a non-discriminating policy. Just because YOU have never seen it, it doesn't mean it is not real, people!!! By the way, we are all well over 30 years old and came sober to the bar just to have a drink or two... read more
