Chad and Mike worked extensively with me in the design and planning of my new home. Their insights and experience saved me countless hours of time and expense. Ultimately the project couldn't be completed due to permitting obstacles and an unconventional lot, but Chad and Mike continued to assist and advise me long after it became evident that this particular project was not going to come to fruition (and long after other builders/developers would have walked away looking for another more profitable project). If I could choose zero stars, I would for their rating but YELP won't allow zero. Be very, very, very careful when contracting with this builder. Mike & Chad Newberry make an incredible first impression but then it's over. You will come to regret your decision to build with them. Having built 5 new homes in different parts of the country, we expected a similar and good experience. Fact is, we are still friends with every builder we've ever used. That is not the case here. You will see unexpected change orders, they will not follow your instructions and the results may sicken you, it did us. Currently we still have numerous open punch list items after 15 months, have spent thousands out of pocket and still our home was not finished as we'd asked (and put in writing for that matter). If you are considering them, I have a word of advice for you: RUN and Run fast! If you are still not convinced, ask them to connect you with their Ponce Inlet Key clients. read more
