The cars look beautiful, they respond within hours to the request for a quote. The person with whom I spoke was very nice and gave me a quote of $55. Now, for the real story. When I called back to confirm, the guy who answered the phone answered with, "taxi." I asked for the woman with whom I'd spoken before. When we spoke, I also verified that this was, indeed, a limo - a town car - given how the other man had answered the phone, and she assured me it was. I told her I'd be using a credit card and said I just needed to give it to the driver. About 20 minutes before pickup, I was told that a "powder blue Lincoln Town car" was waiting outside of my house, but there was no rush, I should go outside when I was ready. The caller, like everyone else I spoke with, was extremely nice. We finished some last minute packing, and opened the door -- and there was no car there. He wasn't late, but it was kind of weird to get that call and not find someone there. He did show up right on time -- in a powder blue town car that looked like it'd been used for bumper cars. The inside I can only describe as grimy -- didn't want to touch anything -- it looked like the interior hadn't been wiped down in weeks. The door handles were attached with clear duct tape. Once we got to the airport. I handed the driver my credit card -- remember, when I booked I told them I planned to use it. He didn't know this -- and they did not tell me there would be a service charge, although that's pretty standard. What's also standard is a $1 - $2 charge; this company charged $5. Plus tolls. Plus tip. In a car that was in the same condition as a typical cab, or worse. The business card he gave me was for "Ace Taxi," not Econo Limousine. As a comparison -- when I arrived in the city I was traveling to, I had arranged for a car to pick me up. As soon as I got my bag, I texted the company, and within 5 minutes a spotless black Escalade pulled up. The cost was $55. Please don't fall for this company, which is clearly a scam. I expected a car that looked like what was on their website -- and what I got was nothing like it. False advertising at its best.

From JC to Newark airport, or pickup from Newark back to Jersey City. 3 am, 5 am, 9am, 6pm, 9pm, 11pm always professional. I usually call, but also use the internet booking to get exact quote for the distance and time which would totally eliminate what most people post here who had problems. You can book it even using your smart phone. How simple is that! I find them reliable and the driver always call 5-10 minutes before arrival.

I can only speak to my experience, though, which is that of a middle-aged mom getting comfortable rides in luxury cars, all arranged and paid for by other parties. Whatever aggravations may have arisen were not mine to endure. I had several drivers running me to and from LAX and JFK, as well as on the ground in New York, and from Los Angeles to San Diego and back. They were unfailingly polite and professional, and the one driver I ended up talking to for a long stretch--a mostly retired grandfather--was super personable with a fascinating life story. I would encourage EmpireCLS to pay these drivers what they deserve. They're definitely bringing more to the table than the average Uber driver, and Uber drivers don't have to spend all day in formal attire. The cars were all sparkling clean luxury cars with plentiful leg room. Like I would never personally buy a Cadillac Escalade, but it's the car I'd want if I were always sitting in the back seat. The little water bottles and charging cables were nice too. My one gripe is that the pick-up times were aggressively early, and I had to be vigilant about changing them if I didn't want to sit around at the airport for two hours. The company was willing to adjust as long as I took responsibility if I missed a flight, which, fair enough, it's not like I've never done that before. It seemed like the drivers were always at least 15 early no matter what time the scheduled pick-up, and I felt bad leaving them to idle while I wrapped up my packing. They never complained, though, and it seemed like this was just part of their service. I got kind of used to the car service life, and it was a bit of a rough reentry the first time I landed at LAX and had to LAX-it instead of meeting a friendly driver at baggage claim. One issue I've had recently is the following: I always request a curbside pickup at the airport, which means the driver does not need to park, and thus I should not be charged for parking. Apparently, agents are not permitted to delete the parking charge at the time of booking. This then requires me to call Empire after the trip, and ask them to remove the charge. Further, I must then monitor my credit card bill to ensure that this has been done. This is burdensome and time-consuming, and I wish there were some way to lessen the burden on the client to ensure proper billing. On the positive side, I would like to commend two agents who were extremely polite, courteous, and thoroughly professional, and who resolved a recent incorrect "wait time" charge. I first contacted Samantha, whose records showed the driver who picked me up at the airport waited 45 minutes between the time I deplaned and the time I reached the car, which was not the case. Samantha said she would investigate and that Empire would get back to me. The very next day I received a call from Brianna in Customer Care, who indicated that the wait charge was an error on Empire's part, and that I would receive a credit. When I raised the issue of incorrect parking charges, she said she would review all of my 2025 trips to ensure that I was not charged for parking. Excellent follow-through, excellent service.
