Orchard Hill is a fabulous equestrian facility for horse owners and non owners alike. They are very professional and take excellent care of the horses. There is something for everyone and no pressure to take lessons or conform to anyone's style of riding. The people are great. Adults and kids alike. They have wonderful school horses and trainers and the property can't be beat for turnout, trails and jumping, etc. They have a fantastic summer camp which I always enjoyed being around to see children enjoying and learning all about horses. Please don't let any negative reviews influence your opinion of this farm. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

We've worked with an array of therapists and group settings to help our daughter with anxiety and her ADHD. From the beginning we started seeing changes in her demeanor and how she communicated. Being with the horses is so therapeutic. They don't judge. They are warm and caring. They provide so many opportunities for growth and interaction. Now in her fourth year she is riding more for recreation, but the element of care and thoughtfulness that the instructors put into these lessons is incredible. We've ridden at other schools and I always return to the quality of care at Rein in a Dream. I very much recommend this for riding needs across the board. We've seen several kiddos and adults attend for physical and occupational therapy as well as our kind of needs. Eventually, between work and my budget I determined I needed to take a break. When I tried to do so I was wrapped up in a mess of BS with Liz. I had a number of make up lessons from when the barn was away at shows and couldn't find an instructor to cover lessons (they require lesson payment up front at the start of the month, regardless of if their instructors will be there or not). Those were never made up as I had to give "official notice" to pause my weekly lessons due to my work schedule. I was told that if I wasn't enrolled in their monthly lesson program, then I was not due to receive my makeup lessons. As a result, I paid for a moth of lessons that I couldn't take due to my travel schedule for work as I was told I had to pay for them and could always make them up (with multiple makeup lessons already outstanding). Then I was told I could not schedule these makeup lessons unless I was still making monthly payments. I work full time and travel regularly for my job. Between my work schedule and their show schedule it was impossible to make up lessons as it was, forget about paying $300 a month to hope I would get 1 or 2 makeups in a month when I had 5 or 6 still outstanding! I understand needing to have an active show schedule as I was a AA circuit rider myself in younger years, but you need to have respect for your adult riders too. In the end, I needed to take a break due to my work and would have returned if it hadn't been for the unscrupulous business practices and lack of customer service shown by Liz and Century Mills. Instead, I'm a former client who will never return, despite being a lifelong equestrian. When my schedule allowed I joined another farm and remain swindled out of hundreds of dollars by this farm.

They teach eventing, hunter/jumper and dressage. As a life long rider, my two children and I have received the best lessons I have ever experienced. We started out as weekly lesson riders and happily progressed to be boarders. The owner, Kathryn, is a superb instructor for riders, trainer of horses and show coach. This facility has an indoor ring attached to the barn and two outdoor rings. The barn manager, Don, cares for the horses with total dedication. This barn creates a community of horseback riders that is very special!

I hadn't ridden a horse in years and it felt great to get back into riding. I had no trouble setting up my lessons and the farm responded quickly when I emailed them. My instructor for both lessons was Andrea. She was very knowledgeable and patient. I really enjoyed learning from her.

It might have been good to clarify that before hand when we booked it. It might have been better to reduce the setup time and include a little more riding time. I have been lucky enough to take lessons from Julie for the past two years. As an adult beginner I…read morewas nervous and self conscious at first, but with her help I fell in love with riding. I also fell in love with my lesson horse, Stat. I bought him and have boarded him at Boston Hunt and Pace for a year. Stat is a beloved member of my family and I wanted to be at a facility where he would be treated that way. I could not have found a more perfect place for us. Boston Hunt and Pace offers amenities and a level of care that is usually only available at competitive show barns. The stalls are clean, big and airy, with memory foam floors and plenty of fresh bedding. The two barns have heated tack rooms with individual lockers. There are both an indoor and outdoor ring. The bright, window lined indoor arena is one of the nicest I've ever seen (complete with an amazing sound system that is perfect for pretending to do a dressage freestyle when nobody is watching). My horse gets full day turnout and has been happy and healthy the whole time he has lived there. The barn staff are knowledgeable and friendly; they truly care about the horses and riders. Julie continues to teach my lessons and Amy, the resident trainer, does an amazing job improving Stat's fitness and challenging him to learn new skills. The thing that makes this barn unique is that the high end care does not come with high end pressure. It's a family friendly, low key atmosphere. My 4 year old son loves to come play there. You don't need to own a horse. You don't even need to have ever been on a horse before to be welcomed here. There are friendly, well cared for school horses for all levels of riders. Beginners (of all ages) are introduced to the sport in safe and engaging lessons. Experienced riders will never get bored; BHP has plenty of opportunities to challenge them. Unlike many barns that teach only one discipline and confine students to the ring, BHP encourages clients to participate in hunter paces and go on trail rides. This has been a great confidence builder for both me and my horse. They also allow students (if they have enough experience) to use school horses for these activities, which is not common in lesson barns. I come to Boston Hunt and Pace almost every day. Whether I'm there on a summer day riding bareback and hand grazing on the beautiful property or taking a lesson in the indoor in the middle of winter, it is always my favorite place to be.
