First off, being from San Francisco where there are a plethora of Vietnamese restaurants, and I eat at them regularly, I am super picky. Our original quest was to find a small Banh Mi storefront and have a Banh mi sandwich like we know and love. Unfortunately after searching Yelp the 3 places named, 2 were sit down Chinese/Vietnamese restaurants and the 3rd, an actual Banh Mi restaurant was closed permanently. So we ended up here and instead ordered Pho and some egg rolls and some other stuff because they had no more Banh Mi. The Pho had a strange flavor which my chef husband identified as beef bouillon. I asked for limes and cilantro which in my experience is served with Pho but they had none of those either. :(
The best I can say is that the food is primarily Chinese and they have a wide selection of choices however it adds up quickly. 22.80€ for mediocre food. Don't think we will be back.
There is definitely a need for a good Banh Mi shop tho. My guess is the other place closed due to a bad location more than anything else. read more
