They did not even bother to inspect the interior or exterior of the house to properly assess the situation. Furthermore, despite my explicit questions, the technician failed to provide any clear explanation of the next steps or how these bait boxes should be managed moving forward. I was left with no instruction or information regarding the follow-up plan. As a paying customer, I find this lack of professionalism and poor communication completely unacceptable. I expected a thorough service and proper guidance, neither of which was provided.

We had sprayed, without any apparent effect, insecticide through a yellow jacket hole multiple times. We gave up on the fifth day of attempting to resolve this problem. We searched the internet for exterminators in Wytheville, Virginia area. We simply took a gamble and called Patterson Pest Control on 8/25/25. We left a message and he quickly called us back. I told him the situation and he said that he would come over to observe our problem. He saw the yellow jackets, and discovered that there were actually 5 holes. He said that this was not common but he had seen this problem. He suggested that he look, which he did, completely around the house. He quoted us an extremely reasonable price to resolve our yellow jacket problem. He sprayed a treatment in each yellow jacket hole. This was on a Monday and he said to call him on Wednesday to let him know if there were any additional problems. He said that the treatment would most likely resolve the problem. Mr. Patterson said if no yellow jackets on Wednesday to wait until Friday to seal the area under the window ledge. He suggested silicone. We observed a few yellow jackets on Tuesday. On Wednesday we checked the treated area multiple times. Several times we watched for about 5 minutes. There were no yellow jackets. We called Mr. Patterson on Wednesday per his instructions. We are, obviously, very happy with the results. Mr. Patterson was friendly and very knowledgeable. I will certainly share this information with neighbors and friends.
