Been going to this store for almost 20 years! Family owned business since at least '86…read moreI have always had GREAT service and find the staff to be evenly trained & consistent. Until the county changed, they did require masks, though after the lift masks are still welcome. They started a "curb side service" during C19 and it seems they will continue that great service. Call ahead, the staff will bring your order to you! ALSO they LOVE dogs! The staff always has treats for your pets. Funny side, they even have a picture wall of many of the pets... including a bunny, monkey and a picture of "D O double G" ;) The staff has always had great suggestions for me and just the right gift ideas for those 'hard to shop' for friends. I really love all the recent wine suggestions. They know their stuff.. shop Family Local !

Also, their selection is as good as anyone's in Knoxville. Their prices are fair. They're higher on some stuff and lower on others, but they're in line. I haven't been in a store yet that is any different. The store is nice, clean, bright and well laid out. The staff is incredible. I'll go to other places just to see what their store picks are, but Bob's is where the majority of my money goes. I would say the only drawback to Bob's is they don't have many bottles to sample from. It seems only the store picks have tastings available.

We were hitting up a bunch of shows and rather than pay venue beverage prices we planned to enjoy a beverage at our hotel before strolling to a show. This liquor store is across from Kroger's and the parking lot is a triangle. The first time we were not sure where the entrance was located because of the odd shaped triangle lot. Seriously this is before we drank wine. They had a nice selection of wine and really good sale prices. We picked out a few wineries that I had never heard of like Portlandia and one other New Zealand wine that was on clearance. When we visited again in 2023 we noticed they had an extended selection of bourbon's including several Japanese brands behind the counter. As with the bourbon market these days the availability seems to be the favorable feature not competitive pricing. The staff is very friendly and they make really good use of the available shelf space considering it is not a big store. I would much rather shop Toddy's instead of a big box store because they have comparable if not better prices, good selection and the people we spoke to were very knowledgeable about their products.

I can't believe this place doesn't have a listing yet on Yelp...it's been here a good long while…read more Has a small grocery section but most of it is a little restaurant. Has some typical Mexican-type food (tacos, duh) but other items from Guatemala which I'd like to explore (especially the sopes- wish I had tried today the little pastries). The tacos I had were small, pre-laden with cilantro and onions, and just $2 each. Both meats I had (chicken, pork) were well flavored. Nice to be able to have a beer at lunch with the tacos, too. I'd give 3.5 stars if they allowed that. It's better than a lot of what passes for tacos in the south. Four stars as a taco joint, not as fine dining for sure.
