Given the fact that withdrawal can be fatal you would think that an inpatient detox facility would have someone on call at all times. Apparently, their physicians don't work on Sundays! "There shall be a physician, nurse practitioner and/or physician's assistant under the supervision of a physician, on staff to perform the initial medical examination of all patients and to prescribe any and all necessary pharmacological medications necessary to secure safe withdrawal."
