The food at ABC hasn't always been the best, but I am really impressed with the new menu and the much better food quality. It really goes well with the beautiful new outdoor eating area. I wish I had gotten the chef's name, but he's been popping outside and checking in with tables, which I really appreciate. Besides him, the staff is ALWAYS so friendly and attentive. This past week, I had the pizza (shoutout to Mike!), turkey club, turkey wrap, buffalo chicken bites, California chicken sandwich, and lobster roll. I have no complaints, except I was so full I had to roll back to Boston. I'm loving ABC's glow up. This is such a great club with great people, and now the food is just as good.

Most of the time he isn't at the church after 5 on a Saturday but I like to check sometimes. Another friend wanted to come here to see streetfighter the rolling stones tribute band. I'm not overly crazy about the rolling stones but I'm open to checking out stuff I'm not too familiar with and getting exposed to new things. So I told my friend I'd go with her. I think they are open to the public after a certain time so if you aren't a member you can still stroll on in. Smart move on their part because they'll get extra business that way. I wasn't too much of a fan of the band playing but it was really nice to be on the beach hearing some music that part was pretty awesome. I walked down to the beach area to check it out. My friend wanted to eat and I didn't have a lot of money so we shared a pizza. She picked the toppings. Many times I'm a people pleaser. I just don't want to get into an argument and will comply with the wishes of others pretty easily if I am okay with it so I let her pick the toppings. Overall it was a nice experience being here and I would come here again especially if they had a band I like better than the rolling stones tribute band.

The setting alone makes you want to stay. I can see what others on Yelp mentioned about the service. It wasn't very crowded (aside from a couple of private parties), and although servers were present, it took about 30 minutes to receive our salads and burgers. The delay didn't seem to match the volume. That said, the food was clean. Healthy and tasty. I can't take that away from them. Overall: beautiful ambience, great food, but the service didn't align with the rest of the experience. I'd go back though.

Over the years, I've had all kinds of problems and issues at properties around the world. This easily could have been a 1 or 2 star review. Please note, many of the other reviews are not inaccurate. The hotel rooms are showing their age. But you are paying for the location, and the rooftop pool. And compared to the only other alteranatives in Long Beach, it is the best. We did have our room switched due to a number of issues, however, and this is what matters-the service. Without hesitation, the front desk and managers did right by us. Our room move was an updated room. The view was great and the people working in the hotel were great. As an added bonus, Marvel Dairy is right next door and open late. Highly Recommended.

I recently came to Catalina as a guest, yet again and it's always a nice escape and to relax. The Pool is always kept clean and at a great temperature and the beach club also have their own chairs and umbrellas at the beach. The best advantage is to have a locker or cabana where you are able to store your own chairs, beach toys, towels, etc instead of shlepping back and forth to car daily. Also you have the showers in the cabana and locker to help clean off any sand before it goes in your car. (I am really into keeping all sand from beaches out of my car) Also I come to the club as a guest, invited by a member. I do not get a day pass for a Cabana or locker. I am an invited guest.
