Captain Dan was so nice, humorous, and well informed providing a great balance of jokes and informational facts about the aquatic wild life. They give you lots of opportunities to take family photos, stop the boat when there are dolphins around, even would turn the boat around so people on the other side could get plenty of pictures and could see it too. We were so happy that our ticket included 2 drink tickets (sodas, beer, or seltzers). My parents considered this experience relaxing, and my 29 year old sister/ my 25 year old self considered this experience to be very fun, so I think anyone at any age would enjoy it. Definitely recommend.

Full Throttle Waverunner Adventures offers just that. With tour and rental packages to accommodate just about everyone, you can go off and explore on your own or with a guide. They offer something you don't get to do often when on vacation, the ability to experience the place you are visiting the way the natives do! There are great places to see around Marco Island and the 10,000 Islands that you can only get to via water access. Keewaydin Beach is one of them. What better way to get there than on a waverunner? I can't think of any... Also, unlike other waverunner tours available, Full Throttle offers something special that nobody else does (at least at the time of this review)... a "full throttle" tour where you are out to experience the fun of the high-speed watercraft. If you want a high-octane adventure where you get to "ride it like you stole it" so to speak, this is the tour for you! It is a great highlight to a Marco Island vacation to be able to speed around the waterways (in a safe manor and in areas that allow high-speed riding, of course) on a high-performance watercraft. So, in short... if you are visiting Marco Island, don't miss the opportunity to go on a waverunner adventure of your own with Full Throttle Waverunner Adventures.

The next day (2/16) Captain Will called, said he had room for us on the next day's cruise, and we made small talk about where I was staying in Bokeelia, how we both love ospreys, etc. He said he was driving and would write our name in his reservation book just as soon as he stopped. He asked for nothing further, only that we show up at 9:15. The next day (2/17) we show up for the cruise - lo and behold our name is not in the reservation book. Capt. Will didn't seem to recall talking with me ... I repeated some of our conversation which he seemed to vaguely recall (even though it happened only 24 hours prior). He said he was waiting for a group of people who booked through GetYourGuide (which means more money for him) and didn't have room for us. He gave us the name of another boat captain to contact, but that doesn't negate the fact that he screwed up our reservation. Capt. Will responded to my Google review, basically calling me a liar & saying we spoke several days in advance (which I can refute with the attached photo), saying he asked for a text and deposit which he most certainly did not.

We had good weather, and we were fortunate to have come upon several pods of dolphins along the way. I sat on the left-hand side of the boat near the front, and I did get unexpectedly soaked for the first 10 minutes or so, which subsided after that. One thing I'll mention for the benefit of other first-timers: I was under the false assumption that this boat would be going so fast that we would break the space-time continuum, based on the videos I've seen. However, when you're actually on the boat, it's not really going all that fast. You'll still want to remove or secure your hat, but you needn't worry about entering a wormhole or returning before you started.

There was confusion: Captain Ken said the tour was "buy one, get one free," while Captain Steve mentioned the second drink had to be of equal value. Based on this, I purchased two beers at $8.00 each and asked for two free "Mama Bahamas" drinks. I paid with my Visa card and included a tip. However, my bank statement showed additional charges--$10.00 and $19.20--that I did not authorize. I contacted Salty Sam's management about these charges but received no response or explanation. Be aware of potential extra charges for drinks or other items--bills can be added without management's clarification. No follow-up or refunds have been provided for these incorrect charges, and customers often get ignored. I will not return to this establishment. Pooja Hughes
