I called Marat, told him I wanted a 200 electrical panel, and he was able to quote me with an excellent price by seeing a picture via text of the existing electrical panel. Given that it was my first time buying a home and not knowing anything about permits and the procedure, Marat walked me through it. He advised that I needed to call LADWP to schedule an appointment with a tech who would mark the spot of the new meter. He then said once there is a meter spot, Marat will get to work --and he did immediately after I got the meter spot. In fact, Marat was there the next day! He worked on the panel for a couple of days, along with his son, and once he installed it, he took care of scheduling the appointment with LADBS. Since I saw how excellent Marat was as an electrician, I also had him install recess lighting in the living room, hallway, family room, and kitchen (amazing job) . I had him install 5 hardwired POE cameras throughout my house. And I also had him check all my GFCI outlets throughout the house and had him replace the ones not working. They did have to open up some wall inside of the garage since my electrical panel was directly on the other side. However, they did patch it up nicely once they were done. After the installation, I took care of the LADWP rebate application and the required permit process myself, including submitting the online applications and doing a virtual city inspection. The inspection went smoothly, and I eventually received a $1,000 rebate check from LADWP! It does take some due diligence doing it yourself but very doable if you comfortable with submitting things online and virtual calls. For those wondering about the timeline, we had the charger installed and completed the applications and permit inspection toward the end of May 2026. About a month later, I received an email confirming that my application was complete and had been forwarded to another department for payment. The final check arrived on October 5, 2026, so the disbursement process took several months. Overall, we had a great experience with Andrei and his team. The installation was done well, and the LADWP rebate was definitely worth the effort and patience. If you're considering installing a Tesla home charger, I would recommend giving Andrei and his team a call!

Failed Inspection, Poor Communication, and No Accountability…read more I would caution anyone considering Advanced Electrical Services based on my experience. Scheduling with this company was incredibly frustrating. Communication was poor, and I repeatedly had to follow up just to confirm whether their technician was actually coming. The bigger issue? The electrical installation failed inspection, and I was subsequently quoted an additional $1,100-$1,300 to correct the issues. This was especially concerning because their company had performed the original electrical work. When I questioned why I should have to pay more to fix something that should have been installed correctly in the first place, they claimed their original work had passed inspection approximately five years earlier. I repeatedly asked them to provide the original inspection report to substantiate that claim. Despite multiple requests, they never provided any documentation. I also tried to give them the opportunity to explain the discrepancies, clarify what had gone wrong, and work toward a reasonable resolution. Instead, they stopped responding entirely. What bothers me most isn't just the additional expense. It's the lack of accountability, transparency, and customer service when a legitimate concern was raised. My advice: Get everything in writing, request copies of permits and inspection approvals, and don't assume that work was properly inspected just because a contractor tells you it was. I gave this company multiple opportunities to resolve the situation privately before sharing my experience. Unfortunately, they chose not to respond. I would not recommend them.

He fixed my broken GFI outlet and used the correct 12G gauge wire upgrading my previous 15 amps to the 20 amps that was already available. He showed me the previously used smaller 14 gauge wire, which was also improperly connected and may have caused the faulty outlet issue. George then checked the power to my doorbell wire, which was dead and most likely disconnected. We discussed options and decided to install a 24V 40VA thermostat and doorbell transformer, which I had already purchased online. He installed it next to the existing junction box located in the garage. He easily and expertly installed the wiring. He then proceeded to install my new doorbell camera after reviewing the manual and video instructions. He also installed a metal cover plate, which he had to drill new holes into so that the doorbell could be properly affixed. The previous owner had left a big gaping hole, whereby the new slim doorbell camera could not coverup and avoid having to paint over exposed old stucco color. I highly recommend George the Electrician, who is licensed and insured. He has over 50 years of experience and is always prompt in returning calls or texts. His rates are reasonable and he tries to find the best solution to a tricky job.
