We are blessed indeed to have such talented people in our area and a man who was mentored by Stephen Sondheim to bring out the best in them. The updates to Civic Center have been such a good thing for this area. The last show I saw here was "Spam-A-Lot." I really appreciate the effort it took to bring this show to the Four Corners. Unfortunately, I was disappointed that the curtain had holes, and was worn in some places, and the set pieces were too big for the stage, so that part of show disappeared into the rafters. I'm sure they are still working on some updates, and I can't wait to see what's next for the Civic Center!

Considering that I wouldn't have been able to stop if it was the common museum hours like 10 or 11 am open, I was very thankful. Moreover the information they provide within the exhibit in the building (the aerial photos are awesome!), and the great booklet they hand you for the self guided tour through the ruins are excellent. Make sure to have a hat and wear good footwear, as there are no shades and the path down to the ruins are steep. Also don't forget to thank the museum staff, and buy something from the shop to support them!

Such a lovely, beautiful library and with a great message of inspiration. I used to come here…read morequite often and would work here and really enjoyed the environment and the people. The staff were great and the seating and atmosphere is very special. Gosh, you really know you are in Northern New Mexico when you come here, the light is different and the sun is as well. Is it the elevation? hard to know - an 'enchanted place,' so to speak. Anyway - the collection is fantastic and the childrens', young adult and the books on tape, dvd's - all great. I went through all their Dean Koontz and other mystery writers (and Dickens!) driving cross country several times. Listening to these books was really awesome. We need public environments that support learning and achieving our higher best, we need - libraries. And finally - the artwork is very special. I used to sit by the glass cases filled with the kachinas and they kept peaceful watch over me as I read, and worked. Great place, great spirit! Thank you -

This is a bit of a weird one…read more It's a gorgeous space, but the spoke and hub design is a bit inefficient. Tons of staff on hand at multiple desks. Lots of little tables along the curving side walls and it gets a lot of natural light. They have a metal detector walking in, a security guard (who is a super friendly old guy), and they require multiple forms of ID and/or your social security number to use the WiFi. An ID + proof of address (driver's license covers both of these) will get you a 120 day use account, then to get an actual card you need another government photo ID or your social. Tons of conference rooms and small rooms on the side you need a library card to book, but they all have 2-3" gaps in the glass doors as well as similar gaps outside a window on the far side, so while you can do calls in there you can't discuss anything sensitive like you could in a dedicated call booth etc. Conversations can easily be heard walking past.
