Robert did such a good job that I asked him to replace all my windows a couple of years later.

Chris did an excellent job guiding the project and making sure everything went smoothly throughout the process. The installation crew (Manny and Omar) were absolutely amazing, professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and incredibly clean. They worked hard, respected our home, and left everything spotless when the job was complete. If you're looking for a company that provides great communication, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service, I highly recommend Cal Coast Window and Door.

We got an estimate from Andersen (less the storm door). Their products and installation method were top-notch, but so was their estimated price! So we wanted something more economical. After some research we heard Milgard windows using an "retrofit" installation would be more in our price range. We also wanted a window/door-installation company that gave us a good price estimate (1/3 the cost of Andersen), was in our locale (Tri-Valley) , and had 5-star rating already. So we were happy to find Cal Coast that met those criteria. The initial estimate process was straightforward. Our estimator was friendly and efficient. The format of the estimate came in digital PDF format. It was easy to print, and the details and layout were very helpful with diagrams of what the windows and door would look like with dimensions. One measurement for one window was slightly off. I mentioned that to my estimator. He assured me that was not a problem because if I accepted their estimate, then the next step was for another technician would come out to the house to re-measure the windows more accurately and in more detail. We did accept the estimate, and indeed another technician came out to do detailed measurements. Then we received a revised and more detailed contract in that same great layout! The estimator kindly set our expectations that our windows and door were going to take 5-6 weeks to custom manufacture and about 1 to 2 days to install. Those timings were right on target, which helped us in planning other events in our life. Installation only took 1 day! The crew was great - courteous, hard working, and efficient. They put foam insulation in the space between our window frames and the new windows. The caulking work was professional. I was pleased. And the crew cleaned up after themselves perfectly. Another thing I was pleased with was Cal Coast's production manager helped me apply and get my city building permit for the new windows. The day of installation, the foreman handed me a nice folder with the printed permit with other instructions. I really appreciated that. Also after installation she worked with my city building department to schedule a final inspection by a city inspector. When the inspector came out, because the product and installation were superb, it passed with no problem. Of course, I paid a little more to have this permit processing service, but it was well worth it. Finally, as you can tell from this rather long review, I'm very pleased with our experience with Cal Coast and the Milgard products. I add my 5-star review to others that have gone before me for Cal Coast!

They came in priced competitively and were less than the other two estimates I received. The others were pushing Milgard Windows but in my line of work as a real estate agent, I've seen too many newer Milgard Windows on houses where several had already failed in around 5 or 6 years. The other companies were trying to sell me on the fact that Milgard offers a rock solid warranty but I decided I'd rather deal with the company that installs a better quality product, also has a rock solid warranty and at a little lower cost to boot. The service and quality of the installation were top notch and I rest a lot easier knowing that we now have good-quality windows that were installed correctly so I don't have to worry about leakage. Thank you D&D Glass- you get my highest recommendation!

I had previously used D&D Glassworks with good results, but this French-door project was…read moredisappointing--especially for an expensive project costing more than $7,000. The doors were repeatedly delayed, the wrong handles were installed, and the insect screens were missing with no firm installation date provided. The screens were included in the project price, and I had already paid a substantial deposit toward the order. Initially, D&D offered to let me withhold only $100 despite being unable to provide an installation date for the screens. After I objected, they agreed to leave $500 unpaid until the screens could be supplied and installed. They are now asking me to pay that remaining $500 even though, at the time of this review, they still do not have the screens and the screens have not been installed. A trim piece was also left for us to have cut. I was not told before the installation that the new exterior trim and the white caulking around the trim joints would still need to be painted, leaving me with additional work and expense to finish the project properly. D&D later offered to replace the handles and arrange to have the trim piece cut, but I declined because I had lost confidence in their communication and follow-through. I decided to complete the remaining work myself. Update: My main concern remains the outstanding $500. Your email stated that I could leave $500 unpaid for the screen and its installation until you were able to complete that work. The screens are still unavailable, have not been installed, and no firm installation date has been provided. Despite this, I was being asked to pay the $500 balance. Regarding the handles, I had to contact you on July 30 because I had received no update and assumed they had not arrived as expected. Only after my email was I told that the replacement handles had arrived that afternoon, and a return appointment was then offered. Given the repeated delays and lack of timely communication, I chose not to have your company return. My review reflects my experience with this particular project, and I stand by it.

He got us a BIG REBATE towards the replacement of our new Anlin windows. As a 77-year-old married couple, we felt so comfortable about trusting Noah and Select Home Improvements with this Investment on our home. Everything looks great and we are saving money on our PG&E Bills with our new dual-pane energy-efficient Anlin Delmar Series window & Malibu doors. The best part of this entire project is the Sliding Glass Doors, which come with a BUILT-IN pet door for our dog to go in and out without bothering me all day long. :-) We love the temperature swing differences that they made immediately, the sound reduction difference inside the house made such a huge difference, and the ease of operation on the windows and doors is awesome. We highly recommend Select Home Improvements. The installation crew alex and eli came out to do the install on our 11 windows & 3 sliding glass doors, and they finished in just 2 days. We were impressed with the cleanup and the professionalism they provided to us. This is a 5 STAR COMPANY!!! Thank you, Noah and your staff, for all that you guys did for my wife and I. I'm a Retired General Contractor and very picky about who I allow to work on my home. I'm going to refer my friend of mine in Vacaville.

He was condescending, he kept pushing to know how I planned to pay for the windows and he implied the PACE program was only for people with bad credit, which isn't my reason at all for considering that financing option. At the end of his spiel he asked me "so did you learn anything about windows today?" As if his half-a**ed, idiot commentary was too great for my pea brain to comprehend. And to top it all off he quoted me basically 40k for nine windows. He wanted to come in and do a simple retrofit with white sliders. I told him I wanted new construction as the windows are from 1953 and there's cracking and leaking around them currently. There's definitely dry rot in some spots, yet he wanted to breeze in and cut corners to save money. He also didn't include the disposable fees for my old windows or permit costs. Shady a** mofos. And just in case the company wants to deny any of this, I have it all on surveillance video with the agent being made fully aware that it was recording. Shame on these guys! Oh! And he wouldn't let me keep my "estimate", but he let me take a picture so I've included it here.
