(Bedford Interchange Park is alot better). There is not really enough room for pushchairs etc. and there is no lift to the second floor. The kids clothes section is a bit squashed up with the ladies downstairs, and the mens section upstairs. This store could be alot better planned out like their other stores elsewhere.

It's almost impossible to get a buggy into the children's section, which is a bit silly considering most people wanting to buy kids clothes will have a child in a pushchair. All the mens clothes are on the 2nd floor, and they don't have disabled access. Personally I think this is terrible.

I…read morehad been living in Hitchin for over a month, and I saw this super cute, colorful store front being built, and, like a little kid, I kept pressing my face to the window (if you have ever seen the movie Chocolate, it was kinda like that). Finally, it was OPEN! I ran inside. There was a life size woman, who, literally WAS ALICE! She was totally beautiful, with rosy cheeks, long blond hair, huge eyes, a curvy figure, bright tights and an equally charming personality. She apologized for being a bit down (?), but explained the store's grand opening had been the night before, and she was a wee bit under the weather. Everything in the store reflected her glowing colorfulness. Hot pink bags, big enough to fit my records AND my lap top, cool clutches that even my picky lesbian cousins thought were cool (i just HAD to mention that, since my cousins buy stuff for me based upon if they think it is ugly- if they think it's hideous, they know I will like it. Helen's stuff is the first and LAST time we have ever agreed on ANY fashion item!!). Funky necklaces of baby deers, earrings of coke bottles- I wanted everything! Helen is super inspiring, since she makes her own bags herself, so by purchasing her stuff, you are actually supporting an indie artist, not some random "made in China by a poor under nourished child." She is so cool, you want to hang with her all day long. I ended up buying a big bag with a cupcake on the side, and a fab purse with fish / newspapers backed with chips (this is the piece my aforementioned cousins and I agree is HOT). Helen is totally worth a visit to Hitchin, I swear!

I find it difficult to navigate through the narrow aisles with a pushchair, particularly when there are more than couple of people in the shop. They don't stock the widest range of clothing, and they don't have anything from their maternity range. I much prefer the bigger branch in Stevenage. However, their fitting rooms are a good size and they always seem clean and well-kept. I also find that service tends to be quite fast at the checkout and I rarely have to wait in a queue (but then I only go in here during the week, not at weekends, so it could be a different story during peak periods!) I like the fact that Dorothy Perkins offer account cover on their store card, where they refund your money when a product you buy at full price goes into the sale at a later date.

Ah The Galleria, a staple of my miss-spent youth. The shops here are average to pretty rubbish…read more(though they do have a massive Waterstones) and you'll only get one or two of the big name high street places. I never really went shopping here because, while it has a fair number of shops, it never really has anything that you want or need. Guess that could be just me. The cinema is where I spent most of my days, chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool and watching some films after school. The cinema is average price with student discount and with your standard of sugary rubbish to enjoy while watching a film. The cinema screens themselves are good, the Digital screen is awesome, but the chairs and leg room leave something to be desired. It can get quite uncomfortable if you're a tall and are in a packed screening, but this rarely happens here, which is a other bonus. All in all a good place to while a way a fair number of hours with friends or that special someone.

Although it looks huge it takes hardly any time to go around and has nothing to recommend it in the way of differnt shops. They are the same as any high street. A large open area in the centre was laid out as a furniture vendoes. The stuff was ugly..even tasteless..and overpriced. Quite a few restaurants..untried but mostly the usual chains. The only saving grace, for me, was a pleasant cinema complex where we went to see Stardust. So much anticipation..such a disappointment.
