We hired Frank Cimino Floor…read moreRefinishing some time ago but never posted a review or complained at the time because we were concerned about possible, negative response from the two rather unprofessional and sketchy men who were in our home doing the work; they smoked pot outside and were high when they refinished our floors, which came out horrible. Plus it was obvious at least one of them had little to no experience. To be specific, we spent a ton of money building a new beautiful staircase in our home. It had unfinished wood and they ruined it by a post-sanding/buffing, which added unnecessary circular scratches in the finish, making it appear old and as if it needed refinishing. They also completely missed spots and had to come back to touch them up. After that follow up there were STILL spots missing - I had to finish it myself. I was able to do that because they left me a jar of the finish, knowing full well they hadn't done a good enough job. Again, we were way too uncomfortable to complain and didn't have the money to hire another company to redo it so we've unfortunately had to deal with it - and it pains us every time we use the stairs.

They clearly explained what had to be done and why. The next day they had a crew there doing an emergency job. The rate charged was fair. Markeith, the business owner, has years of tree cutting & tree climbing experience. His team also has years of experience and they have worked together for a long time making their communication on the job extremely efficient especially considering all the literal moving parts for the job I needed done. They took down branches up to 80 feet high off of 10 trees and expertly felled 4 more trees. I enjoyed watching them climb the trees and using the bucket lift. Markeith explained how he is able to climb up hard wood trees and not damage them but using the bucket is needed to preserve the health of softer trees like beech and pine as climbing can damage them although there are spikeless techniques he can use when required. He also showed me how fungus effects the trees and I was impressed by his knowledge. They were recommended by a family friend and although they are out of Ravena they had no problem servicing the 7 acre plot of land I needed worked on in Saratoga County. They price match and came in under the 4 other quotes I got and I'm certain they did more work than any of the other operations I received quotes from would have done. I'm very happy I chose these guys. They have 9 other 5 star reviews on Yelp that show up as "not recommended" for some reason. I will definitely use these guys again!
