My stylist was Kelly as soon as she sat down to speak to me i knew she knew her stuff, we had a 5 min consultation and then i had the most amazing shampoo and massage that seemed to last a long time thanks to Holly! i was given a choice of many refreshments and lots of up to date magazines, all threw out having my hair done i felt relaxed and comfortable and the conversation was flowing, what was great was the whole salon had a great buzz about it, all the clients interact with each other as well at the stylists. They do in fact specialise in Afro-Caribbean hair (of which I am not the owner, although you'd be forgiven into thinking so when I've backcombed it into oblivion). They have a dedicated stylist for this kind of hair and whilst this is clearly a focus of sorts, they have a wide range of clientele so if you don't have Afro-Caribbean hair don't be put off. They are just as welcoming.

Washing is fabulous, why on earth pay for a head massage when you could get your hair cut here and get it thrown in for free? The cut is never started without everyone being Very Certain about the outcome required. Both times I've made use of the super cheap standby appointment slots they offer (mainly because I'm super disorganised) which has been a real bargain at £20 for a cut and blow dry and still offers a fantastic service. The staff are all very young and cool but pretty friendly and you get offered a drink on arrival - I had a tea but the lovely girl who washed my hair said to shout if I wanted a glass of wine later too! The girl who cut my hair was great at offering advice at what would suit me best and the products to use but didn't give me the hard sell at the end which I hate. Will definitely return!

Immediately upon entry I was offered something to drink and we got right down to business. No waiting involved, which was a nice change from what I'm used to. The entire staff and owner were incredibly courteous and friendly, and as a Southerner(US), friendliness and courtesy are high on my list of valuable qualities to have. The stylist gave me exactly what I wanted done to my hair and then some! It was beautifully styled and at the end I was given some sample product to try. Come on, who doesn't like a good free sample? Perfection.
