Do not send you child here unless they are one of those perfectly behaved children. We learned…read morefirst hand that cameras do not stop evil people from assaulting children. Our son had a hard time in schools due to being abused by a teacher very briefly and very early on (age 2). That school is now shut down, thankfully. The only way we found out about it (our son was not able to express the abuse yet) is because the teachers apologetically told us they would restrain him physically and would pull him out from tables he was hiding under (from them) by his FEET! We saw all of these things on camera. They are not exaggerated , even though its crazy to think anyone could treat a 3-4 year old child this way.. My son was assaulted by multiple teachers at this school when he attended this school briefly. Early on the owners were professional and seemed knowledgeable about caring for other people's children, they were also our friends of several years. It seems the husband is much more savvy and caring than the wife - the wife should not run any business, much less one with as much impact as childcare has. 1) The first time it happened (teacher being rough with him and putting hands on him), the teacher was fired. -moved to another classroom- 2) The second time it happened (teacher grabbed him by his ear and pulled him so hard that he tripped over a chair and was then placed into a corner once he got up), we were given a sob story of how sorry the teacher was. How she had never done anything like that before and it was the best teacher they had... -moved to another classroom- 3) The third time it happened, it was the owners SISTER (married couple who have a son who has similar issues which is why they opened their own daycare in the first place) manhandled our son and yanked him around and yanked him out of the classroom and made him lay on the ground in the hall where he laid with his face down crying for several minutes. We imminently picked up our son and got him out of there. The owner/wife returned that weeks tuition and no apology was ever given. We wish the husband had been at the Murfreesboro location the entire time. He was very good with him and was very patient and knew exactly what to do and was far more professional. But the wife, she seemed like the had more important things to do and seemed dismissive, careless and impulsive. The third time listed above was after I spoke to the wife/owner and tried to find a way to effectively work together with the teachers so our son could be successful and one of the many shocking things she said to me was that she explained how we had been given "special treatment" already and that our son deserved to be handled the way he was by their teachers. Honesely, we should have reported this abuse to DCS the first time and never come back. I could go on... but I think this is enough to explain why I would never recommend anyone leave their child in the care of this day care. There is a stark difference between those who get into this business for money and who get into it to nurture our future leaders. It has been nearly 2 years since he left this school and our son is doing very well and *excelling* now that he has been consistently in a good school with loving, educated, knowledgeable teachers. Message me if you would like recommendations.

The DHS website reports are enough to steer you away. We are leaving our CHILDREN with you, we hold you to a higher standard. Our children are the most important things in our lives and we expect you to understand that. The parents need to be made to feel comfortable when bringing their kids. This time the video games were not working and the tablets were not available to them because the workers said that they could not use them. They said the other toys were for much younger children maybe like for under. So they walked around bored the whole time. We requested that they be fed but when we picked them up they charged us for the food but my kids said they had not been fed so I told them they hadn't been said and they said that the computer listed them as fed but they did not charge us for that . The air hockey machine was broken as well so my kids could not use that. My kids said that the workers were shouting at the kids and didn't speak very kindly. At one point the kids were all shouting the f word but the workers didn't Stop them. They're also were many children and babies but only two workers watching all of them. We love the idea of drop in child care and the price is nice. It was a good experience before when there were things available for older children. There are lots of choices out there with varying degrees of curriculum, weekly fees and tenured employees. My biggest concern was just finding a place that felt friendly and where I knew my son wouldn't be just another kid. A co-worker highly recommended her daycare to me where she has her daughters just two days a week. We went together to meet the director and I was given a tour of the entire facility. First of all, the director is great and she has a very down-to-earth personality and totally understands the worry and stress of putting your child in someone else's care for the majority of the week. The facility is beautiful and cozy. It's a smaller daycare, about 95 capacity I believe, and it was built to resemble a house rather than a typical daycare building. The daycare is family owned and operated as opposed to a corporate chain. They do offer part-time care (which you don't find everywhere) and the cost for an infant was about $100 cheaper per month than the other daycare we were considering. I love the proximity to my office and I enjoy being able to stop in and see my son at lunch. I feel that all of the teachers are genuine and truly care about me and my questions and concerns and my son's well-being. They are honest and love filling me in on the minute details of my son's day there. They have a true 4:1 infant ratio and I have witnessed them being very mindful of that. It really pains me to put my child in daycare and not be at home with him, but if this is the option I have for right now, I couldn't imagine having my son anywhere else but here!
