Products are good but the staff are miserable. Feel like you are disturbing them by even entering the shop.

A small shop, but a large stock, the staff are always smiling too…read more They cook most of their products fresh, and you can buy a cake or some bread, and still feel the warmth of it from where it just came out the oven. Prices ain't too bad, though the sandwiches are a little on the costly side, but not by anything that would break the bank. The place is also clean as a whistle, and most of the time when the staff are not serving customers or preparing more stock, they will be cleaning the place, rather than just sitting around.

Updated decoration is a good edition however, when I visited the seated area was untidy. I would recommend take out rather than eat in. However, I agree this is handy for take away pasties, sausage rolls and sandwiches and a good selection of cakes and pastries at a reasonable price. They are competitive on price to the bakers opposite.

This is a handy store to have in the town, as I believe it is the only bakery on the high street, and the fresh pasties are always hot and tasty. Give this place a go if you want a relatively cheap lunch out, but I recommend 'taking away' as they raise their prices a lot to eat in.
