One of the best doctors I've ever had. She's thorough and does not rush through the appointment and always takes the time to listen to any and all medical issues/concerns you may have. She's very knowledgeable knowing about the different interactions between medications you are taking which is very rare. She always takes your concerns seriously and will refer you to specialists who can help with issues. She is also very kind and compassionate and unlike other doctors will call to follow up with you. I have not had such a good doctor since my favorite pediatrician retired. I also like that because its appointment based, you do not need to wait hours in a packed waiting room where you're ironically very likely to catch something. Dr Pang has been my PCP for over two years and she is the BEST doctor that I could ever ask for. She is knowledgeable, sweet and efficient. I have been recommending her to my friends and family and I recommend you to see her if she isn't your PCP already! I don't understand how anyone could give her less than 5 stars. Also, I usually never wait for over fifteen minutes and I am most definitely out in less than an hour. For today's visit, I arrived at 10:00am on a Tuesday for my sore throat. The nurse quickly checked my vitals and my weight and afterwards, I waited for about 10 minutes before heading into Dr. Pangs office. She asked me what my complaint was and after answering that and a few questions (medications, vaccinations, etc), she performed a quick physical exam (examining the tonsils, checking lymph nodes, checking for a spleen enlargement) and a throat culture. As a nursing student, I clearly know AND saw that she was doing everything required for the focused assessment. Now I wanted to point out that Dr Pang truly is looking out for her patients. Because there was no sign of a bacterial infection, she treated me as a viral patient and did not prescribe to me antibiotics. There are doctors that just end up prescribing antibiotics during times like this, hoping to please the patient or to just clear out all of the bacteria. However, Dr Pang told me that she will give me a call in 2 days, with the culture results, and told me to be in contact in case anything gets worse. Pleasantly surprised! Over the years, I have been to numerous doctors within the Chinese community and for the most part, the wait times are always extremely long even with an appointment and the staff very unhelpful. So when I came across Dr. Pang, I was skeptical at first but decided to give her a try because of all the positive reviews. I was in the search for a new PCP that was closer to home and had offered weekend appointments. The process of making an appointment was very seamless and the staff was very courteous. I received text message reminders and confirmations for my appointment. As this was my first time seeing Dr. Pang for an annual physical, she was very thorough in asking me about my medical history and if there were any family illnesses that she should know about. She was patient and was very willing to answer any questions I had. When going through my results, she had scheduled a video call instead of requiring me to return to the office just to go thru results. I found this extremely helpful especially with the busy work schedules that we all have these days! I would definitely recommend! read more

I was embarrassingly early for my appointment, but the receptionist still took me in and reasoned that I need not leave because I still had to fill out forms. Dr Pang was also welcoming of my earliness. It's true what these other reviews said about Dr Pang. She spends a lot of time with you to answer your questions and she explains as much as she can. I appreciate that kind of care and attention from her especially since I am on Medicaid (in my experience most health professionals do not extend this level of care with me) and when anxieties are high with this global pandemic. I especially liked that this office is women-owned, Dr Pang is Chinese, speaks fluent Cantonese and English. It felt like a safe space for me as a Chinese American who straddles Chinese and American cultures and I felt that Dr Pang identifies with that. read more

I have seen multiple primary care physicians in the area and Dr. Pang has to be the one of the most knowledgeable and thorough ones. I was recommended by a coworker to come here and I'm glad I did. The first time I came was for a referral to a specialist for some ankle problems I was having. Dr. Pang examined my ankle and told me to move it around to see where it hurt. She also did a brief check up for other health concerns. If it were the other physicians that I have seen before, they would've just sent me outside to get the referral. The second time I came was very close to closing time. The receptionists did not seem happy, but Dr. Pang did not rush me at all. Her staff (lady at front desk + nurse who speaks no English) are RUDE AF. The doctor herself is moody and will sometimes be accommodating but mostly extremely rude and sassy. This clinic ONLY cares about East Asian patients so please stay away if you aren't! The staff (especially the nurse) talks about all her non Asian patients (I even recorded them to verify with a Chinese friend of mine) and they're sooooo disgusting. No class, manners, NOTHING. Wow! How come the bad reviews on the sweetest and most professional Dr. Pang?! This just proves that you can't satisfy everyone no matter how good you are. I've been in the customer service job for many many years and this is in fact true. My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Pang for about 5 years. I found her when I worked in Chinatown and I was so sad when she moved to Brooklyn. But my husband and I absolutely LOVE her so we will trek to Brooklyn to see her. I have been to plenty of family doctors before and most of them just rush me out and won't explain stuff to me. She patiently answers my questions and knows a lot! I trust her with my health. I find her to be very professional and caring. I have friends who go to her and think she's great as well. Will never come back again. Been seeing Dr Pang for two years and never had any issues until today. Call them 3 weeks ago to schedule an appointment and receptionist told me will check insurance and call me back. 1 week past and no one call me back. Called office again and receptions said we will check insurance and made an appointment for me for Sunday. And of course they said they will call me on Thursday to confirm. No one calls me back again. Showed up today and was turned away because the PCP wasn't Dr Pang. My explanation was from Dr Pang herself was "I don't know. It's between them two (pointing at the receptions)". I never been to a doctor's office where they don't check insurance ahead of time and call you before to confirm appointment. Very disappointed. I really like Dr. Pang, she knows what she is doing and it is always nice seeing her. Dr. Pang's helpers are very good as well. It really helps that she speaks english fluently which is a plus in brooklyn's chinatown, so no language barrier when it comes to health. I use to have a doctor that took months to get an appointment and I would wait for a very long time at the clinic just to see them. Dr. Pang's office is not like that. I wanted an appointment this week and I got it and the time slots were really open. She even does Sundays. I'm happy with her, I don't know what the negative comments about her were about. I love this place. I will not stop recommending Xin Pang to my friends. Xing pang is super kind and attentive. I've never met a doctor in 8 ave that's like her. I've never had problems with her staff and I don't ever recall them giving me a hard time. They accept walk-ins and the wait times are reasonable. Depending on the day you might only need to wait a few minutes. Years ago when this office was relatively new, they saw me as soon as I walked in without any appointment. Inevitably she has gotten more popular, and there might be days where there would not be enough seats. I've being going to this office for years up until I switched to a different health insurance ... oscar. I rarely write reviews but Dr. Pang is definitely one of the best doctors I've ever met! I just happen to stumble upon this page and had to write a review. I started seeing her since 2015. I had a crappy insurance at that time and practically no other doctors would accept it. Her office welcomed me in and explained to me the potential costs for a visit or any lab fees that may incur. At that point, I was just happy that someone was able to see me when I was really ill. She's super attentive and sweet. Front desk receptionists were helpful and spoke fluent english. They know what they're doing in terms of verifying insurance. I even received follow up phone calls personally from Dr. Pang in the next couple of days. I had previously worked at a medical office before and I know how busy it gets when an office accepts various number of insurances and dealing with a high volume of patients a day. For the doctor to take the time to call a patient, really shows how much they care about their patients. My insurance changed 2 years later and I was worried that her office no longer accept certain insurances. That was not the case but I was willing to pay for a visit for annual check-ups and etc if I had to. Fortunately, I was able to confirm with their office that they accept it. I was even more happier! Before reopening school, I (a DOE teacher) would like to do a body check and the antibody test. I didn't expect to meet this amazing doctor Dr. Soung when the staff told me that Dr.Pang was out for vocation. Dr. Soung is super nice, friendly, and caring. I am so thankful that Dr. Pang found Dr. Soung to help out during this difficult time (Due to Covid 19, only one patient can come into the office within 30 minutes). Dr Soung took the time to really listen to you and treated me as her family. She spoke so softly and was willing to answer all my silly questions ( I googled a lot and got overwhelming). I am an inquisitive person and I like to ask questions and really understand the different areas of my health. Dr. Soung puts on gloves for 3 times because she understands my concern. She is very knowledgable and excellent with her medical skills. A week after, Dr. Soung did a virtual meeting (staff told it would be 5 minutes) and spent extra time (at least 10 minutes) explaining my result patiently. She remembers specifics about my health from visits. For a personal reason, I needed to do the blood test again. Dr. Soung was willing to leave late and made the last appointment with me on a beautiful Sunday evening. She is so wonderful and personable that I really feel valued as a patient. I have been coming to Dr. Pang for a few years and I think she has been wonderful and my wife agrees. She takes the time to listen to your issues and make suggestions. I have other PCP before and I don't think any of the other doctors ever called me to follow up on my symptoms and asked how I am doing after the visit. Yup, as a previous patient wrote, I wish there was an option for zero star. First of all, this is the first and only time a doctor used the f-bomb in front of me when I brought forth my concern. Beware people, this is one foul mouthed, bad tempered, crass, and unprofessional individual. Take your money and go elsewhere. There's no need to endure that kind of vulgarity. And the contemptuous and bullying tone she flagrantly displays and the decency she lacks to conceal her grotesque vulgarity even whilst replying to a dissatisfied client's online yelp review speaks volumes about what you will encounter if you make the terribly unfortunate choice to enter her premises. I quote Dr. Pang in her own words because it truly speaks for itself: "Cici G, if you have the GUTS to write this review, you should have the GUTS to put your real name and your real address, because as far as our records show, we don't have a patient by that name or address. Also, please specify to the Yelp audience examples of how our office gave you a hard time. Could we be giving you a hard time simply because you didn't want to PAY for the clinic visit?" I didn't believe that the doctor would be that unprofessional. I was referred to Dr. Pang by my ob gyn. I needed a PCP close to home in Brooklyn. I have nothing but good things to say about this clinic! The staff is great but Dr. Pang is amazing! Dr. Pang is a great and knowledgeable doctor. This review would've been 5 stars but I am not entirely satisfied especially with the front desk staff. Most of the girls are very nice and professional but I've seen a few times where this front desk girl (heavy set and purple hair) has absolutely NO MANNERS, no respect and no professional towards patients. If you're having a bad day, that's NO excuse to take it out on your patients. Maybe that's just the way her personality is, but I can say that working with that personality in a doctor's office where customer service is vital, will get you no where. I totally agree with all the people have to say about Dr. Pang. She is simply amazing. I've seen her for years and now my other family members are seeing her too. She is very patient and knowledgeable. Year ago I was coughing so bad for a long time and I thought it was just a cold, so when I went to do my annual check up I told her about it, right there she told me it was acid reflux. It turned out she was right, I took the medication she prescribed me I soon stopping coughing. Now she opens her own office in Brooklyn. The location is very convenient. Unprofessional...visited the office presented my insurance card & listened to the receptionist call the insurance company asking how much money i have in my health savings account. I than asked her why she is asking this and she stated the physician told her to do it. How awful and what an invasion of privacy. The physician than calls me indicating i was giving her staff a hard time - ummmm no you need to properly train your staff as to what questions they can and cannot ask but as unprofessional you are , i dont see how your staff would be any different. I love Dr.Pang. I've been going to her for a little bit more than a year now and I'm glad i changed my doctor. I've had a great experience with Dr. Pang. She's caring, efficient, and knowledgable. She provided me with a much more thorough physical exam than previous doctors did. Her office is open on Sundays, which is extremely convenient for me, and she seems to make a noticeable effort to accommodate last-minute appts or walk-ins when issues arise, in addition to her being very accessible by phone. She's always attended to me extremely quickly when I arrive...the longest I ever waited was 5 min. maximum, which is basically unheard of!
