I got those genuine vibes when he came out to look at our backyard at our home. We hired him for the design. At the time of his design presentation, he brought a lot of information to our attention such as the harmful chemicals in some artificial turfs that aren't used in the products he purchases. He made sure we were well-informed of the quality in the various options of pavers. The 3D design that he and his graphic designer carefully put together hit the nail on the head with what we wanted. He brought solutions that we didn't know existed to optimize our project for drainage, usability, durability, and aesthetics. He wasn't the lowest bid, but it was clear he was the most thoughtful, knowledgeable bid for what we wanted... and he has trustworthy vibes anyone will notice within minutes of meeting him. Every step of the way, Josh and his crew have delivered. Josh took every opportunity to make the job the best it could be, even in some situations where he was making a few things better without those improvements being required per our contract. Since then, the property owner has sent three checks to Frakes-Scapes Landscaping for yard maintenance, all of which were cashed. However, no landscaping services have been provided since November of 2024. I contacted Jeremy, the owner of Frakes-Scapes, on Tuesday, May 6th. He assured me that he would come by this week to clean up the yard and advised the owner to stop making further payments. Unfortunately, he never showed up. I followed up with a phone call on Thursday and a text message but received no response. I sent another text on Friday--still no reply. Out of frustration, I contacted the local police. Although they couldn't take formal action, they did reach out to Jeremy. He falsely told the officer that we had already spoken and agreed that he would complete the yard work soon. I clarified to the officer that Jeremy only answered the phone because law enforcement contacted him. Yet he had promised to come by this week and never did. After the police call, Jeremy finally reached out. However, he was extremely unprofessional and said, "I don't know why you contacted the police, they're not going to do anything. I should have never told you that I would be by this week. You sound like a miserable woman." He also stated he would refund the three payments to the property owner. I strongly advise anyone in the area NOT to do business with Frakes-Scapes Landscaping. Jeremy is clearly a SCAM ARTIST! Based on my experience, this company is unreliable and dishonest. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
