The food was bland and completely unappetizing. The orange chicken was especially bad-- overly sweet, and just not enjoyable. The noodles were dry and had no flavor at all. What really surprised me was that they don't even offer water if you dine in. And if you want any sauces, expect to pay extra for each one. For the quality of food, that just feels unreasonable. We ordered pork fried rice and it also contained shrimp which I am moderately allergic to and besides that is just not what we ordered. It was clear this was a mishap since but when we called and informed the restaurant immediately after delivery, they would not replace the order or credit us the amount. I'm piggybacking off of yesys comment below because I was there today too. I got the orange chicken, egg foo young , the noodles and the rice. Everything was horrible. I waited for them to prepare the orange chicken because I wanted it fresh and crispy when I got home. I have never seen so much breading on orange chicken in my life. There was absolutely no chicken there just gristle and bread and it was a lot puffier looking than normal as well. It was inedible. The egg foo yong had no flavor and he gave me about a tablespoon full of gravy. I didn't watch him put it on so I missed that but nonetheless no taste whatsoever. rice noodles nothing. I want my $12 back. I've gone to this place for years and years and this is the worst that I've ever experienced. if you go there beware of the orange chicken it's not chicken. It's just bread and gristle. I think I'm gonna give them a break for a while maybe in a couple months, they'll have a better cook or a better quality control but right now they don't. read more

A lot better than expected. It certainly doesn't look like much beyond a crappy strip mall Chinese place but it's better than it looks. New China is about the only Chinese restaurant in Summit. Even about the only okay restaurant period that is. This is a pretty small place so most people order and then carry it out. Chinese restaurants like this are usually only for carryout. It has a few tables inside but when I was here no customers were eating inside. This is one of those places that has those big pictures of the menu items along the wall. Mostly the same looking pictures as anywhere. The one I got was the Hong Sue Tofu. It's about $9 for a big amount. This has a nice variety of vegetables. Sauce was spicy but not extremely hot. The tofu was cooked until firm and not mushy like many places. Glad I chose to come here. It's better than many other close by Chinese places. They have a pretty small dining area if you would like to eat inside but most people get takeout. read more

This is our go to Chinese place. We've been coming here for years and it's been consistent the entire time. The woman owner is always there and she knows us and is always so sweet and asks how our baby is doing. The food is always hot and fresh and they have the best sesame chicken and beef fried rice. Came here because the place I usually go to was closed. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, kung pow chicken, shrimp egg foo young and hawaiian fried rice everything was tasteless, the kung pow chicken had no sauce to go over the dry white rice, the sweet and sour chicken sauce was in a little white cup just enough to dip the chicken as if they were chicken nuggets, once again not enough to go on the dry white rice and the egg foo young same as the rest, no sauce for the rice. And from what I'm use to hawaiian dishes usually has ham in it this only has chicken and pineapple in it. They only gave me soy sauce packets no sweet and sour, oh and last but not least, when you look at the menu on the Yelp site it shows a coupon for free stuff if you order a certain amount would you believe the coupon had been removed when I looked at the menu in the restaurant, but after she gave me my order she handed me the coupons unfortunately I don't know what I did with them otherwise I would post a picture. Stay away, completely ruined Christmas. Our Christmas didn't go as planned because of a a family emergency so we decided to get Chinese since most other places are closed. We arrived at 5:15PM tonight and it was very busy, they said about a 45 minute wait. We said ok we'll come back since we live close. Went back at 6:10 and still wasn't ready, here it is 7:19 and now they tell us the order was lost, we prepaid when we placed the order and now here we are no food. Way to go New China for making Christmas even worst than it was. Oh and on top of it they disconnected the phone lines because they were so busy they couldn't keep up. read more

I ordered crab rangoon and to my surprise they put bacon bits in it. My family and I do not eat pork. They don't have that disclosed on their menu. I called so they can refund my money because I had to throw it away. The lady was very rude and said I have to ask if any of their dishes contain pork. On their menu it clearly says CRAB MEAT. Since I moved to Clearing 4 years ago, I've yet to find a good Chinese food restaurant. There were so many good reviews on here for this place I decided to try it. Their food is ok, nothing special. The crab rangoon's were pretty bad though IMO. The one consistent rave on here was the orange chicken and I will say that was pretty good. Everything else was just kind of bland. Completely recommend this place! So delicious and satisfying. The lunch specials are actually pretty large and so reasonably priced. I had the chicken with broccoli (9/10 because I didn't specify that i wanted brown sauce but it was delicious) with an egg roll. Orange chicken with chicken fried rice (10/10) with crab rangoons (8/10). Also Bbq pork fried rice (8/10) all of it was so tasty !!!! The staff is very accommodating and if i lived here i would be a regular. The place doesn't look like much BUT the food was VERY good!!! The shrimp were very fresh & big. The vegetables crispy. Shrimp fried rice was delish..not over cooked. General Tsao's Chicken...VERY good. They could easily hold a candle to some of the places in Chinatown! I was also very happy to see the cooks and the owner had all the necessary precautions due to Covid. Masks, gloves and partition! Their phone was ringing off the hook so I guess that's a good thing! Mama is happy! The only reason why I gave 4 starts is because the packages sweet and sour and soy sauce are not to my liking. The food on the other hand is mm mmm good. Portions are GREAT! The option of 2 Rangoon OR an Eggroll OR a cup of soup is the bees knees! Love that. This is the only place for miles that I was able to find that the General Tso chicken was not soggy. Every where else that I have gone and order I get soggy chicken and no one wants to eat soggy chicken. The only down side is if the place is busy with orders you will be waiting a long time for your food. But I guess if it's busy that should tell you that it's a decent place. Found out this place has changed owner and is now under new management. Also talked to the owner and found out that they originally had other restaurants in Indiana. Their food is great! They are very polite as well, the food portion are generous. They recommended orange chicken, chicken fried rice and egg foo young from their menu. the prices are decent for a home cooking Chinese restaurant. The food were ready in 20 minutes. Next time I will try their old fashion egg rolls, which they make it by them selves. read more

Well what can you say about fast food chinese food? LOTS! It was a weekend (Saturday) and I needed a little bit of food to take home. For a little spot they sure know how to serve taste. I guess the simple fact that I asked for no MSG means big. They assured me none was added and from what I tasted I do believe this to be the fact. I ordered a few dishes and expected them in large containers but what I got when I arrived home was lunch special containers! Not sure if thats a good thing since the containers were packed with white rice and the actual dish that I ordered didn't seem like the quantity I paid for. Is this a practice in most other fast food Chinese spots? Well, not that I've ever experienced. I was in all honesty disappointed that the containers weren't regular take out, I feel i was kind of shortchanged since I did pay extra for bigger containers (so I thought). So when you do go in, ask them about the containers vs lunch specials, as lunch specials are.filled with tons of white rice. Although the flavors were okay, nothing to say I would return. read more
