Chicken salad is sweet and full of chicken. Stuffed BBQ potato was light and airy and full of meat. Sweet tea was heavenly (probably better than my grandmother makes, but don't tell her). Stop what you're doing and order the chicken sandwich…read more I went back to Southern Roost and this time skipped the "small banquet" approach and zeroed in on the buffalo chicken sandwich with ranch. This is the move. Tender, juicy chicken cooked exactly right, tossed in buffalo that brings flavor without trying to prove a point, cooled off with just enough ranch to keep everything in balance. Every bite hits. And then I made the right decision. I benched the fries and brought in the mac and cheese. That's a veteran call. Creamy, rich, and sitting on top of macaroni that was actually cooked right. Not mushy, not stiff, just exactly where it needs to be. It's the kind of side that quietly steals the show. What stands out again is the consistency. The food shows up how it's supposed to. The place is spotless. The staff moves with purpose and takes pride in it. You feel it without anyone having to announce it. Some places are good once. Some places figure it out and stay there. This place has it figured out. Five stars.

So it's hibachi and sushi restaurant but has the capacity to be a fast food place. So you can walk in order and they will cook made to order. But if you prefer to not get eat there, you can go thru drive thru and order there. The food is still made to order and I see the cars wait up to 4-5 mins! But I got chicken hibachi, veggie sushi roll, and veggie spring roll. The spring roll and the sushi came out first and everything was perfect. Now the veggie roll only had like a Avocado in it which it was plain but you can't complain for 3 dollars. The spring rolls were nice and crispy! It took about 8-10 mins for the chicken veggies hibachi to come out. But it was nice and hot and tasted great. I got it with rice but you can also choose noodles which is what I'll try next time I'm back for work In this city! They have a soda machine and sauce station where you can take it the sauce container back to table. I highly recommend their white sauce, or yum yum sauce as it is called. Very nice on the rice!!

In the rural South this can be a tough thing sometimes, so it was really nice to find Arely in an area that I was not really expecting a restaurant to exist. It was a Sunday, but there were still a good number of people going to the restaurant, I suppose folks not really wanting to go home and fix food after church or something. The people in the restaurant were of all walks of life, from obvious church-goers to travelers finding a place to eat. Food is served buffet style, and I saw in their selection that they had a good variety of items, including items for kids. Nothing too spicy, but that is to be expected at a buffet. I ate my fill and then went on the road again, though I did have a nice conversation with a couple from the mid-West who were on motorcycles who asked about various good roads in the area.
