Worst haircutting experience I've ever had. I decided to try something different as I was sick of…read moreall the barber's in central Kingston and I hoped this would be different. I wouldn't mind paying a little extra for a nice chat and a good haircut but there was nothing jolly about this place. When I walked in, no one said hello to me even though the place was empty. I sat down and a barber appeared and instantly came across as rude. He began furiously shaving my head before I had even finished explaining what I wanted. He cut all sorts of corners, for instance rather than giving me a little bit of a fade on my short back and sides, he just gave me a two all over (it looks like my mum has cut my hair). When he asked me if I wanted wax, he quickly ran his fingers through my hair and then left to wash his hands while my hair was still pointed in all directions. To top it all off, I paid a good 2-3 pounds more than I would in town. I would recommend you go anywhere else in Kingston.

On entering, the greeting is efficient and friendly. They listen well and really pay attention to what you want. Although they make suggestions, the emphasis is placed on pleasing the customer and not on feeding the stylist's ego. Even though they were recently nominated for hairdresser of the year. If you're a French speaker there are several native French stylists here. Even if you're watching the pennies and want a cut or colour, as a model, you can relax knowing that you'll be in good hands.

I was informed about the price straight away but at the same time referred to their website for 30% off vouchers which was really nice! Lovely, friendly and comfortable atmosphere. Had a sit down with Adrianna first to establish and discuss what I wanted done and how would it look. When my fabulous cut had been done the owner came by, said a few words, and made sure i was happy with the end result. I'm very happy withmy new haircut, and have already recieved a lot of compliments on it! That was my first but definitely not last visit at Metropolis!
