I purchased a puppy from Neverland Newfoundlands on 5/19/2018. When I picked him up he was 9 weeks old and only weighed 9 lbs, which is approximately 12-15 below the normal weight for a male Newfoundland at this age. He was malnourished due to the Vegan diet the breeders had been feeding the litter and the parents. At 4 months of age he began limping and subsequent tests revealed that he has Bilateral Fractured Coronoid Process and OCD in his right shoulder, both conditions are genetic. I have a CT Scan and report from a board certified radiologist to confirm the diagnosis. I have a signed contract from the breeder with a health guarantee. To date the breeder refuses to honor their contract and refund what I paid for the puppy. Not only do they have terrible breeding practices, but they are unethical in their business practices. None of their breeding dogs have health clearances. read more
