There are many things I can give up, but this is not one of them and luckily Angel Nail exists for those of us still on quite a budget. 28 GBP (cash only!) or a manicure/pedicure combo that reaches my exacting standards? SOLD. I only had to wait a very short time. I had a nice conversation with the owner as he did my manicure. He charged my iPhone for me. All plusses! The only improvements? Perhaps a spiffier color selection (though its certainly fine, and not the worst I've seen) and a bit of spiffing up, but all in all...I really liked the spot, the staff and the color job. Healthy Glow offer a range of beauty treatments and have sunbeds. I don't use the sunbeds so I can't comment on that but the beauty side of things is excellent. The woman who owns Healthy Glow is also the beautician and she is incredibly knowledgable about all kinds of beauty treatments and she's always so honest, even if it means that she loses business. For example she advised me that for certain beauty treatments I would be better off doing them at home for various reasons, I was very impressed by her honesty because it meant that she would be losing out on the money that I would be paying her. The atmosphere is always really good and all of the staff are really friendly and make you feel welcome.

Walking past with a friend on a rainy Sunday afternoon, I suggested that we pop in and I treat her…read moreto a nail treatment. So whilst she was having this done, I opted for a pedicure. Sitting in a reclining back massage chair, my feet were worked tirelessly on, scrubbed, buffed, clipped, polished and pampered and I left with immaculate tootsies. I was very impressed with the work that they did, there were no issues and the staff were friendly. I also learnt one of the people working there is studying painting, the back is full of her works in progress and I do say, she's not half bad! It's very easy when visiting these sorts of places to feel like a number - however when we explained that we were going for lunch down the pub just a few roads away, they tried to insist that I borrow a pair of sandals so not to mess my polish up. That's what I call customer service and a half! It was a reasonable price for treatment, the polish that didn't smudge (even though I did wear my boots due to the rain) and my friend loved her nails, so a win for all really!

Each time I have asked for 10 minutes and have been given 4. Despite having always had 10 minutes in other tanning shops and explained this to the staff. If you do decide to go... Make sure you do not ave a booth downstairs as the rooms are so small that I had to push myself against the wall to open the booth door! Bronze and go in holloway is a much better bet! Cheaper, better equipment and lovely smiles and banta from all of ther staff

Their full leg is priced at 26 quid, brazilian wax at 29 and a hollywood wax at 35. first i had to establish what the difference between a NY-brazilian and a London-brazilian is, so i can opt for the hollywood, and then enter the "operation room" where there is definitely not sufficient lighting to perform THIS procedure. ok, whatever, so I am thinking I will be nice, and offer the aesthetist a hand (if she needed), and she actually needed both of mine in addition to two of hers to not finish the job. I am disappointed. What i expected was what this awkward situation leaves no room for post factum inquiry, and certainly had to do some homework to start with a clean slate. so, i don't necessarily recommend The Tanning Shop, unless you have the guts to point every five minutes where and how you want it (the procedure) done.
