Even though Jason was not able to be present at the job site, his crew did a fantastic job. It's rare these days to see service contractors who value quality over quantity. I do recommend Straight Edge Painting for their quality work and reasonable pricing. Excellent Experience with Diamond Star Painting!…read more We recently hired Diamond Star Painting to repaint the exterior of a home in Lincoln, and the entire experience was outstanding. They were quick to respond, reasonably priced, and, most importantly, accommodated our tight schedule to get the project completed on time. From the moment we committed, the process was seamless. At no point did I feel pressured, obligated, or misled. Everything was handled professionally and with genuine care. A special thank-you to Tabitha Sodders, our project manager, for her excellent communication and coordination throughout the project. Even when the crew had to start as early as 6 a.m. and finish earlier in the day because of the heat, everything was well organized and communicated promptly. I was particularly impressed by the attention to detail. The crew spent considerable time masking and preparing the home properly, and they showed the same care with the final touch-ups. Nothing felt rushed or overlooked. The result was excellent, and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We can confidently recommend Diamond Star Painting to friends and anyone looking for a reliable, professional painting company. Thank you to Tabitha and the entire team for a job well done! -- Fritz W., Lincoln

Diamond Star Painting was able to begin work the following week on a Wednesday, and by Friday afternoon, my house was beautifully repainted. On Friday, they completed a final walkthrough with me, promptly addressed everything we noticed, and then had me walk through the project once more before they left to make sure I was completely satisfied. A friend of mine also hired Diamond Star Painting and was equally impressed with the quality of their work and the reasonable cost. I'm extremely happy with the results and would gladly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, responsive, and detail-oriented painting company.

We contacted Trico, and they quoted a $3,500 minimum, which given the process of painting cabinets, I understand. However, when I explained the situation and asked for an email stating the minimum, they said it would be "unethical to charge that to another contractor" and refused the job. The other contractor told me they understood entirely, so what exactly is unethical? My takeaway is that Trico is there for the big jobs and has zero interest in anything else, which is disappointing as customer that paid for one of those big jobs. EDIT: In response to the owner's reply below, I want to be clear that I'm not trying to misrepresent anything here. I was trying to hire Trico to repair the cabinets. They refused the job only after they learned I'd be reimbursed by another contractor, which I truly just don't understand.

West-Cal Painting were amazing, hands down…read more My wife and I decided to get our new house painted at the last minute -- we weren't sure anyone would be able to get us on the schedule before we moved in. After a handful of calls, Osker from West-Cal asked if he could come by same-day, and he surveyed the work. He was extremely personable and a pleasure to talk to. After some back and forth on what work needed to be done (my wife and I couldn't decide between the whole house or the partial paint job), Osker got us on the schedule ahead of our move in date! It was a big project (3400 sqft house), and as such there were some minor delays, causing them to finish work on our move in date. I can't fault them -- we were getting last-minute turn around -- but it turned out to be a great opportunity to see how the team works. We were in the house when the team did some finishing touches and a few second-coats on trim. Their work was meticulous: You could see them painting extremely carefully, and working hard to make the paint job exact. We loved seeing this. It was clear they took great care in their work. The project manager, Ulysses, was wonderful to work with. He clearly cared about our satisfaction, and also made sure his team did a great job. He was highly communicative and let me know what to expect every step of the way. Our house took nearly a week to paint, and Ulysses made me feel comfortable throughout. Overall, I'd highly recommend West-Cal painting. The work is spectacular, the people are fun and professional, and the prices were competitive. 100%, would call them again.
