back in 1993 dale interviewed me for Benton County Mental Health…read more The interview with Dale Cox went something like this: Doug Butcher, do you think you could kill? No Think you could shoot someone? No Do you think you could stab someone in the heart with a butcher knife? No.. I don't believe the kitchen knife analogy wasn't used but it you get the idea...it was can you kill?.. on and on about could I kill ..could I kill At the time I thought he was a wee bit obsessed with killing someone. Anyway after getting real tired of the same question over and over and over I finally said...and you might get a real good laugh out of my word choice but it's what is was... I'm laughing thinking about it, to be real honest. Think you could kill? Hummmmmmmmm ..(because I was getting real tired of this I finally said)...." You know, if by chance, my mother was sitting on the couch beside me and my brother was on the other and .......(the word choice I used is kinda funny considering) If a crazy man burst through the front door and shot my brother and started taking aim at my mother and if by chance i had a gun laying next to me. Yes I think I could pick it up and shoot him dead but I don't think God would ever put me in the position where I'd have to make that choice." NOTE:the quotation marks is because if I had a recording it would probably match the actual words I used but in court Dale Cox testified "He said he could kill, he is dangerous." I DID NOT SAY IT IN THIS CONTEXT, YOU LYING PIG!

I went to Acme Counseling this spring for general mental health care. The quality of care was…read moreaverage, as the professional I was with didn't seem qualified. The entire time I was there they didn't not offer me my bill. It wasn't until my counselor was fired that the office finally was able to send me my bill. They were nice and the counselor helped a little but I do not recommend coming here unless you're mandated to.

The staff is all extremely friendly. Anna at the front desk was extremely friendly, and explained all my responsibilities immediately. She put me at ease letting me know my timeline, what my costs would be and what my experience would be like. Billing was always consistent and fair, and they even let you run a balance if you can't afford to pay every time. I appreciated their flexibility when it came to that considering how tight money can be when dealing with a DUI. My counselor Bobby was fantastic. He was always straight forward and kind. I found he was able to really help me get to to the root of my problems so we could deal with what was really going on. I look forward to every visit and know I will be treated with dignity and realistically. (The competition preaches a lifetime of sobriety, which isn't necessarily the answer for every person, every time, and I appreciated that.) I feel like they dealt with me as an individual, and not as just "another drunk driver." The group meetings were also productive. The leader was friendly and gently encouraged participation without making you feel overly exposed. We had discussions but also watched videos or had other activities. And BONUS: THEY FEED YOU FOR EVERY GROUP SESSION. Seriously, how awesome is that?! Everyone can use a little pizza in their lives, Especially when discussing your problems. Cannot recommend this company enough. Don't waste your time (or your money) anywhere else!!!

I am highly satisfied with the experience my family has had with old mill. Our son is in the…read morepreschool program and has developed so much in the short year that he has attended. The teachers and volunteers put a lot of effort and care into developing a program that meets the developmental needs of children at this age. There are always new activities set up in the morning, our son tells us about the different stations, they have different themes, he sings songs that he learns at home to us, and loves playing on the playground before eating lunch around peers his own age. Not to mention regular field trips and seasonally themed activities according to holiday/celebration. They are very hands on, open, and welcoming. We have especially enjoyed the amount of effort and willingness that the staff makes, they definitely go out of their way to work with and accommodate everyone. Our son definitely enjoys going to school and playing with his friends here, it has helped him immensely in all areas of social development and the resources are fantastic and aimed to help children in the specific areas where help is needed while helping to nurture their development and hit milestones. There is also a summer program, which our son attended last year and will attend this year before his final year at old mill prior to transitioning into kindergarten. I would highly recommend considering old mill to meet your preschoolers educational and developmental needs.
