We had to come here on a Saturday to get my daughter's foot checked out after she had injured it at…read morethe gym the night before. The staff are very nice and let her speak for herself without any type of reserve or anything like that, so that was great. The check in process was a bit arduous and I felt like I had to repeat my answers, basically and triplicate so that was a bit annoying but the staff was very friendly and assured me that it would allow The doctors examination to go more smoothly. Once we were all checked in, there was almost no way, and after a quick examination by one of the nurses, we then were taking off to the in-house x-ray. The room we were seen and was brand new with very impressive equipment as her father I was allowed to attend the x-ray, and they made sure that we were both safe and process us very quickly. Once we got back to the room, we saw the doctor, and what was great that he was able to explain things and show things to my daughter and language that she was unable to understand. What I really appreciated was that he then also explain things in a more advanced and higher level for me to understand what was going on the best course for treatment and recommendations for how to stabilize her foot and get her back to normal faster. Overall was very impressed with this visit. Beautiful office nice staff and wonderful doctors. I would highly recommend this for anybody who needs urgent care for orthopedic problems.

Speaking to an actual human being about specific concerns pre-appointment is almost impossible. I eventually finished the whole process. Took over an hour. I have had great care with NE Ortho, but the whole process of making an appointment makes me think about going to a different office.

I hardly know where to start. Do not go to this doctor if you have work related carpal tunnel. He…read morerefuses to say that any carpal tunnel case is work related. He is also very greedy. Once he diagnosed my carpal tunnel he suggested that he do my surgery in his Lincoln office. Both hands at the same time which I have been told never to do. All of his other surgeries happen in their Grand Island or Omaha locations in a sanitized surgery room. Not in their Lincoln office where they diagnos. Creepy. Flash forward one year later. I got a bill sent to me for $2,500. Yes, $2,500. When I called to have them send it to my insurance I was told that it was too late and if I didn't pay they would send me to collections. I ended up going to bat for myself and convinced my insurance of over ride the timely filing issue. This doctor's office then billed my insurance less than half of the amount they charged me. They actually charged me $15 to watch a home movie of him doing someones surgery that must have been filmed in the 80's. My insurance paid $700 and that was the end of it. Long story short: The doctor is creepy, I felt like the nursing staff kept trying to catch me in a lie (which there was not one) and the billing staff totally incompetent. If I could give them zero stars I would. NEVER GO HERE!!!

I have read the previous reviews, and while I see that some people have had a bad experience there,…read moremine has been just the opposite. Everyone has been professional, accommodating, and very pleasant to work with. That not only includes the doctor, but all of his staff including my physical therapist. Their appointment reminder system works very well, and I appreciate the text reminders and letting me know promptly if changes need to be made. Also their prescription refill process is very smooth and well handled. Needing paperwork filled out for my employer has also been a seamless process. Reading some of the other reviews here reminded me of a 'different orthopedic office' across town I have been to. It's never good form with any medical provider's office if you call and leave a message for the nurse and never get a call back, not once, but three times. When reporting this to the front desk, I was finally given an opportunity to actually talk with the doctor's nurse who, sharply reported, that she would convey my question to the physician but that it 'will probably would be a long time before someone gets back to you.' Let's just say that a long time was over a year..., which told me that apparently my business was not needed by that practice. I will also be quick to say that the physician was very nice and on more than one occasion the staff were perfectly pleasant. I am not going to say which office it was because I recognize that every review is subjective, based on an individual's personal experience, and sometimes a given day. I also recognize that it only takes one bad experience. Physicians and their staff are human too, and often in a busy practice unfortunately sometimes things don't always go as planned. Unforeseen circumstances on any given day can arise that patients may not be aware of - a physician held up with a procedure that took longer than anticipated, (and if you are the patient lying on the table, I'm quite sure you would like the physician to do his very best with your procedure, even if it takes longer), unexpected emergencies, or people just having a bad day. That's unfortunate for all parties, but hopefully as people read reviews on anyone or anything they will take into account all of the factors that go into making a sound and reasonable decision.
