They seem to always be renovating, modernizing and improving things which is really great and important. The biggest changes I've noticed include the lobby. All looks good, by the way. The facility has plenty of parking, mainly due to the 4-level parking structure next to the main buildings. Inside the lobby area was lightly populated and there is an information desk right in front staffed with a very cheerful and courteous clerk. All floors I visited this morning were clean and spacious. There were signs everywhere, especially ne'er the elevators, to keep me informed of where I needed to go and who was offices on each floor. In the lobby and you travel towards the main elevators, the was a pianist playing on what looked like a grand piano. I like this hospital quite a lot and am very glad to have most of my appointments here.

I was able to check in upon arrival and placed in the waiting room for my husband to arrive by ambulance a free minutes later. The nurses we interacted with answered all my questions and did everything in a quick, prompt fashion. I was surprised that our emergency room experience was less than two hours, and I was super grateful for everything that everyone did. From what I could tell the restroom, emergency room, waiting room, hallways, and his individual room were all clean and well stocked.

The day of my appointment I am very busy at work, trying to get things done before I have to leave early to give myself plenty of time to fill out the new patient paperwork that they informed me of. No sooner had I made it to my car, pulled out my phone... I saw no less than 7 text messages spamming me over the course of 12 hours to check in to my visit, a missed phone call, and the final text stating that they had canceled my appointment. I literally had almost 2 hours before my actual appointment. I talked to the woman who answered the call and she had stated that I had to reschedule. Wouldn't give me a reason as to why, so I asked her if it because I didn't reply fast enough to my appointment reminder? She said no. I went home and told my boyfriend what happened. His response, "Yeah... they do that if you don't answer them." So technically, I'm also dealing with reception lying about the reason for the cancelation. I'm sorry that I didn't respond to the spam. But if I tell you that I will be there at 4:30pm, I'm gonna be there at 4:30pm to fill out the new patient paperwork for my appointment that you scheduled at 5:00pm. For those that can't make their appointments when they say they can be there, well... that is a "them" problem and should be handled accordingly. I think its disrespectful to the client to expect them to respond to them outside of the window discussed and then cancel their visit because they didn't text back when you wanted them to. Had they left it alone I was actually scheduled to arrive just after 4pm giving me plenty of time to fill out their paperwork. Unsolicited, she provided times for a new appointment. I had calls with them every month, starting in January, asking for statements and was told "don't worry about it, we are still waiting for some things to come through". After two escalation calls I finally got it recalled from collections and was then told to make a payment of have to pay a fee on top of the payment. I have been consistently misled, flat out lied to, and talked down to so many times it is infuriating. It's now 7 months post surgery and I'm still fighting with them and they could not care less about their poor treatment. You are nothing but money to them. CHI should be absolutely embarrassed. If you have the option to go anywhere else, I would take that option over any CHI facility 100% of the time. I have filed complaints with the AG, BBB, and DHHS.

This all screams insurance scam to me!!! Finally, we received hidden charges including on the equipment to take my son home that we were never told about.
