I ordered the ribs and as I'm from Texas, I was skeptical. They were delicious with the meat so tender and falling off the bone. I added French fries which were crispy and delicious. The sauerkraut coleslaw added so much to this dish. The service was good. We were in and out in about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Then our pension hostess recommended Kajute and it was perfect. We took notice of only the simplest part of the menu, but it was excellent. Apart from the obvious -- sausages in various combinations -- a really good bet there is the "Eintopf," a huge bowl of soup that contains pretty much everything; it's not a stew but a real soup; delicious and satisfying. A half liter of Detmolder Landbier tops off any good meal, and they have it on tap. The gentleman who might be the proprietor has enough good English to serve you.
