Unprofessional and Arrogant I had a simple request: paint a metal baseboard air return vent matte black. I even offered $50 for what should've been a straightforward job. Instead of a respectful response, I got scoffed at and dismissed like my business didn't matter. The painter was rude, unhelpful, and carried the kind of arrogance you'd expect from someone who forgot they're in a service industry. If Neubert Painting can't handle a basic request with decency and professionalism, I can't imagine trusting them with anything bigger. I never got beyond the receptionist. Abrupt and distracted. Seemed not to care less. I needed a bathroom 5x9 and stairs painted. Quote consisted od a dayrate $675 times 3 days. Over the phone. When i discussed with my husband phone went dead. No return call. Thank goodness! read more

We had our oak kitchen cabinets painted white lacquer and were thoroughly pleased with the outcome. They put multiple coats of primer and lacquer. The cabinets turned out beautifully! They also sprayed our oak mantel on the fireplace and it took the time to make it look perfect! The staff cleaned up each day before leaving. The entire job was done in about 7 business days. We hired this company to paint the first floor and stairs of our home. They quoted us without any pictures or a visit to the home and the quote was WAY off. The painter when he was here did phenomenal work and was pleasant to deal with. But getting ahold of anyone in the office has been a disaster start to finish and the value simply is not there. read more

Nice to talk to but not a quality driven company. College kids (18 year olds) that just want a job, not professional painters. The painters do not know how to caulk or do any detail work. They paint on wet surfaces, and they d on understand how to prep surfaces. Sloppy and not really interested in doing a good job as a true professional would. Management is never visible, leaving the contact to nice young people that have little authority. I am going to finish the touch up and caulking myself. This was a $14,000 job. I really expected more of an interest in the results from Neubert Painting. read more

AVOID. While there is a strong desire to please the customer, sadly the training of their college age employees and attention to details was severely lacking. We paid nearly 30% more than the next bid based upon the promised quality of the workmanship. There were repeated requests to return to clean up the job site, caulk areas that were not caulked and paint areas that were missed, I have decided to finish the last Items myself. Neubert painted my aluminum sided home some years ago. They employed college students on their summer break. I would never had hired them, knowing this. They did a terrible job, the finish was like sand paper because they always painted the side of the house in direct sun and the paint dried too quickly and they applied the paint "too dry". The owner blamed the PPG paint but only offered to refinish the front of the house. They missed areas and didn't paint behind downspouts.Next time, I will either paint it myself or make sure the painters are experienced painters. read more

The gentleman that painted our room not only did a meticulous job he did an AMAZING job repairing a wall. He was on time, very communicative, super tidy and efficient. College kid schedules and confirms interview, arranges ride for 4 hour trip (each way), skips class to be at his 4pm interview on a Friday arrives at interview , shows up to be told there are not hiring anymore. Neubert Painting worked at my next door neighbor last week. They used plastic to mask off the area they didn't want to spray paint. When they removed the plastic they let it blow away into the neighborhood. I called Neubert Painting to let them know this but so far nothing has happened. SO TIRED of constantly receiving marketing mail in my mailbox from Neubert Painting. I have NEVER contacted them regarding any potential painting job AND NEVER WILL! Yet, at least once a week (usually twice) there is some piece of unwanted marketing mail from Owner John Neubert and Neubert Painting delivered to my mailbox. Fed up with this barrage of unwanted, unsolicited, junk mail, I phoned Neubert Painting on 05/12/2015 by using the phone number on their latest unwanted brochure. When owner John Neubert answered, I politely asked to be removed from his mailing list and I even nicely explained why. He quickly said he has no mailing list and said the mailings I was receiving, that advertise his painting business and have his signature on the bottom of every one, have nothing to do with him and that it was the 'Post Office who sends them to me.' ...Really??? ...I politely replied that clearly the Post Office did not just randomly and free of charge, out of the blue, decide to print up marketing materials for him without his knowledge, with his signature on the bottom of every one, and then send them to me with my name and address printed on them. I told him that clearly these were his ads, which he generated, and that obviously there must be a mailing list. I again very politely asked to be removed from his mailing list. He again said that he didn't have a mailing list and then he talked about some mysterious 'marketing company' who sends them out on their own without any involvement from him. When I asked for the name of the company so I could contact them, this time he said that it was my letter carrier who takes it upon himself and decides to put these ads in my mailbox. Really, my letter carrier prints up free marketing materials for Neubert Painting, prints my name and address on them, and philanthropically delivers them to me? For a third, fourth, and fifth time, I again politely asked to be removed from his mailing list. This time he finally admitted that there was indeed a mailing list, and that he had purchased it from the Post Office, but he said that there was no way to remove my address from it "without stopping all the mail, everywhere" and so of course he wasn't willing to do that. ...Really, removing my name and address from his local painting business mailing list would 'stop all of the mail, everywhere?' PULEASE!!!! ....Before I could ask him yet again to remove my address from his mailing list, he became very rude and said he was busy and that I was 'inconveniencing him' and he abruptly hung up on me. WELL JOHN NEUBERT, I'M INCONVENIENCED EVERY TIME ONE OF YOUR PIECES OF UNWANTED MARKETING JUNK MAIL SHOWS UP IN MY MAILBOX. ...I have called many other businesses and have politely asked in just the same manner to be removed from their mailing lists. It's usually a very quick, one or two-sentence phone call and I never receive any further mailings from them. It really should have been just that simple with Neubert Painting as well. John Neubert comes across as nothing but a rude, disinterested, con man. If he responds to a very simple, polite request to be removed from his mailing list with nothing but lies and distain, just imagine how he'd respond to any issues you have once hire him. If someone is willing to spend that amount of time and energy lying about such a simple, easily resolved issue as a mailing list, just imagine the lies and effort he'd put in when there's money involved.
