I contacted Partyworks Interactive. Not having any idea what I wanted to do, yet still make the school event fun, Partyworks Interactive owner Eric Elkaim suggested something fun and straightforward. A large, inflatable Frankenstein. I immediately loved the idea. I drove and picked up the large inflatable, extension cord, and small air blower. When we arrived at the school to set things up, it took two of us to set up the large inflatable and have it ready within twenty minutes. Once up and secured against a chain link fence, the large Frankenstein was a HUGE (no pun intended) hit! BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS!!! They will promise you the world and not deliver. I booked this company…read more45 days in advance for a very special 80th birthday party for my mother. I wanted everything to be perfect because this event was similar to planning a wedding and this event was a once in a lifetime experience. My contact person was Jennifer. I assume she is either the owner or one of the owners. She was very gracious and made me feel as though customer satisfaction was her main concern. I couldn't have been more wrong. At our first appointment, which was 45 days prior to the event, I went over the specific details of the event. It is a 1920's themed birthday party and the colors are Gold and Black. The night before our meeting, via text, I also asked if she had any 1920's/Great Gatsby props. I also text her pictures of props that I liked. She told me she already had some and she sent me the pictures of props from Amazon. I indicted I would like to see them at our meeting, which was the following day and then she changed her story and stated she would be ordering new ones if I booked with their company. We discussed backdrops and she offered me a very glittery gold backdrop. I told her the gold backdrop would be perfect. The night before our meeting via text, we also discussed scrapbooks. Jennifer text me three options for scrapbooks and I picked the first option which was a gold book. I later confirmed this book at our meeting. Lastly, a custom photo template was to be created for the party. Jennifer boasted that they have their own graphic designer on staff and he could create anything I wanted. I provided her a picture of two flapper girls on each side and asked that a template be made using these pictures. Jennifer stated it would be no problem. At the end of our meeting, Jennifer required a 50% deposit, which I paid that day 26 days passed and I never heard from Jennifer in regards to the template, scrapbook or props being delivered so I could see them before the party. 24 days prior to the event I text Jennifer and asked about the props and template. She said the props were not in until the following Friday and my template would be ready the following week. She also said she wouldn't be able to meet with me until after April 4th. Rather than bore you with more exact details, let me get to the gist/list of my complaints. ****I was required to PAY IN FULL before attendant would set up. 1). Jennifer would not return my calls or texts until 2 or more days later. She claimed she was busy. It only takes a second to text someone that you are busy and will call or text ASAP. 2). The scrapbook was black not gold 3) I was offered new boas, "fake feathers" Jenner boasted, because real feathers are itchy. (There were no new boas provided at day of event. 4) The backdrop was sheer black, not gold and you could see people and lights behind it. 5) Pictures were dark because no light/photographer umbrella was provided (however, Jennifer showed me examples of their booths with these lights) 5)turns out they couldn't do a template with flapper girls on them so they tried to pass off a template as their own design when actually I found the same exact one online. When I advised them that the template they "created" was an exact duplicate of one already sold online, Jennifer changed her story and said it was just an example to get my opinion. (I hated this example template). 6) The attendant didn't bring a separate table for the props and one for the scrapbook as Jennifer had offered. I found the scrapbook buried under a bunch of props. The attendant offered to go back to the office and get a table but it would take him at least 40 minutes so I told him no. (The party had already started). 7) A rough draft of the photo template wasn't provided to me until 3 days before the party. I had to make several changes to the template before approval and this was very inconvenient because I had party planning still to do. 8) Jennifer sent me pictures of two completely different sets of props which she stated she had. The day of the event I was only provided one set Here's the thing. Please don't offer me the world if you have no plans to deliver. Don't make me choose your company on false claims. If you are going to offer me perks to earn my business then follow through, otherwise, don't expect me to go quietly into the night without complaint. I AM A VERY DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER And to make things worse, when I confronted Jennifer with my complaints, her response was that she would inform the attendant for future events. What a slap in the face. Take responsibility as the owner or whatever your title is. You are the one who made these commitments, not the attendant. I hope this company reads this review and if they are as customer focused as they claim to be, contact me and offer me some sort of compensation.
