Department Store [Stuttgart, Germany]…read more In the U.S., T.J. Maxx is synonymous with hunting for bargains so IYKYK. TK Maxx at Königstrasse is Germany's (or Europe's) version. The store is located in the central district near the commercial and cultural core of the city. The store is huge! They have the most selection of sunglasses I've ever seen compared to our local T.J. Maxx here. And yet as much as the variety of shades they have I couldn't decide on one. They have non-brands as well as designer brands. It took me awhile to choose one and just glad my brother was patient in waiting for me. Customer service was fast and speedy. Review #4063

Nearly every rack had vlothing on the floor in #Abundance. Had I thought about I should have taken photos and sent them into there cooperate office. Hmmmm next time I will. This mall also has a gourmet shop of gourmet wines, gourmet cooking and marinating oils and gourmet marinade sauces as well. I can't remember the store's name right off but it's filled with very very large glass canisters in the wall that you can fill bottles of any size tiny, small to very large of the different wines and products you'd love to purchase. The bead jewelry store is called The P Cookery. Also on the bottom floor entrance of mall is an Ice Cream shop. Eis La Lana or La Luna. You can get €1 scoops and or order fancy ice cream desserts w/ fancy fresh fruit fixings. This mall also has a T.K. Maxx which is known as TJ Maxx in the USA. Nice for all the americans thats missing some home. There's other shops as well that are worth visiting in this mall. I frequent this place because I make jewelry. So for the crafty hands this is definitely the place to go.
This is a brand new mall across from the castle, so about a 10 minute walk from the train station…read more I stopped in another mall closer to the station and like this one a lot better -- more food options, a nice grocery store in the basement, a large consumer electronics store (Saturn), and a TK Maxx (seems to be the same as a TJ Maxx in the US). There was also a natural foods store with a lot of gluten free options. And for kids, they have cookie baking afternoons and offer ponies on wheels to ride around the ground floor. Sooo cute! Too bad they don't make them for adults :)

They carry fresh fruits and veggies as well as wines. The best part is finding local cheese and spreads which are inexpensive. I honeslty can't wait to return to Germany to visit the Aldi store. Also, they have the carts with special coin to release just like in the US where it asks for a Quarter.

Meat counters, frozen fish, lots of booze, bakery, produce, dairy and the aisle of randomness that today had electric shavers, TV mounting cables, wine glasses and bakeware. Paying for my purchase was easy enough despite my lack of German and the young man at checkout not speaking much English. No problem purchasing a new "LIDL Germany" bag for my collection and paying with my American credit card. [Review 21249 overall - 253 in Germany - 214 of 2024.]

Even has a bakery inside to get freshly baked bread every morning. Germans love bread and cold cuts in the morning so my brother in law goes here every morning to get bread for the family. Military grocery store [Stuttgart, Germany]…read more During my vacation in Germany I tagged along with my brother when we needed to get groceries or non-food supplies for the house. This is obviously a grocery store for the military families and only military personnel could pay. I came to get some snacks for a road trip and came across the Ritter Sport chocolates. I've not had one of these before and chose a couple that appealed to me. There were a variety of different chocolate flavors to choose from. Then we went to visit the Ritter Museum the following day... We used the self-service check-out counter. Review #4059

You can get a freshly made sandwich super cheap too. All the meat is frozen so if looks fresh, it's not. It will tell you not to refreeze. You can get some pretty good deals. Baby back ribs for around $5 for a double rack...not bad. Make sure you watch prices...not for sale items but just the regular price. Since they sell at 10% over cost the price goes up and down with each shipment. Also, pay attention in the produce section. Some things that you are used to paying "each" for is charged by the pound. Lettuce, for example, is typically $0.75 PER HEAD but here it is PER LBS. Lettuce is pretty heavy when you aren't paying attention.

For that reason, it makes it very convenient for residents and neighbors to shop here. Parking is very limited in an adjacent parking lot, but street parking is available. I noticed most of the customers come here on foot probably from the nearby apartments and houses to pick up something they need quickly--it's very convenient. They stock what you can normally expect at any Lidl stores. Store is very clean, well-lit and fresh-looking perhaps because it's a rather new store.
