It is so easy to access from the U-Bahn Schottentor Station or the University. Perhaps because it was a weekday brunch, we didn't have a hard time securing a table. I would recommend you reserve a spot if you wish to dine here on a weekend, however. Menus are available in English and German and the service was fast and friendly! Hopefully it stays that way! Their menu is amazing and affordable. Also need to mention how delectable each and every pastry they had on their display case! My friend and I could not resist ordering eclairs for both of us on top of our actual meals. I decided to get the Syrniki (Ukrainian pancakes) because I wanted to try something new. Plus, it sounded amazing -- pancakes with a twist which tasted sweet and savoury at the same time due to the cottage cheese. They are served topped with pomegranate seeds and pears and with a side of their homemade marmalade and sour cream. So fluffy and so, so irresistible. Aside from pancakes, they also serve omelettes, egg benedicts, acai bowls, sandwiches, and more typical brunch fare! I love the wide variety of food items on their menu. As for the eclairs, we chose pistachio and chocolate; both were hands down perfection and oozing with creamy filling. One of the best eclairs I've had in my life thus far. The interior is lovely and a nice homage to Vienna. Tiles were also swoon-worthy. Their coffee latte art could most definitely benefit from improvement though but all in all, I wouldn't think twice about coming here again!

I showed her the flyer and she said choose any seat in the house. Because it was early in the morning, a weekday, and the fact that it was December, I was the only one around. I had used the limited German that I had learned the last few weeks and the sweet lady thought I was fluent. I couldn't keep up with the charade for long but it was nice to finally be able to use some of the German (most people on this trip looked at me and just spoke English by default). Ambience: This place is adorned with many art pieces. Seating is limited but that just made it more cozy and intimate which I love in a café. Plenty of souvenirs to look and purchase. I loved it. After the video was over I was offered markers and a guest book to write/draw in. I flipped through to see illustrations from people all over the world and from all ages. I'm not much of an artist but it felt impolite if I didn't write/draw in it, so I did my best with my lovely stick figures. She also offered books for me to read at my leisure, which didn't feel like they were trying to sell me something. Food: I had already eaten breakfast so I wasn't hungry, but I ordered at hot chocolate. It was freshly made and warmed my soul. It was definitely on the pricier side, but not much more than what I would've paid at Starbucks, and I was on vacation so it was easily justified. It's right down the block from my hotel. I passed it a couple of nights and noticed they had pizza on the menu. I had dined on schnitzel a couple of nights and wanted to try Austria's pizza. In Vienna, you walk in a restaurant and seat yourself. The place was buzzing and packed: good sign. I sat down and decided it was a good night to start with soup. I chose the bouillon with dumplings, a healthier choice. It was hearty and the dumplings, sorry to say tasted like Matzoh Brei. However, it hit the spot. As did my Austrian beer. In Europe, beer comes in two sizes: small or 1 liter or large 2 liters or more. My pizza came and I didn't realize how big the portions were. I ordered Margherita, plain and simple. I asked for fresh basil and the server shook is head. Garlic? Crushed red pepper? I was 0 for 3. I cut my pizza with a knife, no pizza cutter. The first slice was heavenly: cheese oozing and just the right amount of sauce. There was hints of garlic on the pizza. It was delicious and after 2 slices I had reached my saturation point. I asked for, dare I say it, a doggy bag. My hopes for tasting the Apple strudel were quickly dashed. Now for the ambience: eclectic mix of people. Young and old were here tonight, enjoying their meal and laughing hearty. There are posters adorning the walls and fresh flowers on the bar. Each table had its own steel basket of cutlery and napkins. The service was nice and efficient. Total bill: 13.9 euros/$16 American
