I was referred to Alma Heritage Dentistry by the college and was absolutely blown away by the kindness and genuine interest in my life by the workers there. My dentist, Dr. Matt Loomis, was an absolute angel every single time I came in. By the time I had my last appointment there, I was almost sad that I didn't have a need to come back again! The workers there truly and clearly have both a passion for what they're doing, but also an immense expertise. Even the most simple procedures done were so seamlessly and the connection between the dentist and the assistant was so smooth- which made me feel secure and cared for as a patient. Additionally, Dawn is an absolute professional when it comes to being a dental assistant. One of the most irritating parts of being at the dentist for me was never having enough suction in the right places when my mouth is open for extended periods of time. On the other hand, it felt like Dawn was reading my mind!! Every time I felt saliva build up, Dawn was there to get it instantly!!! Alma Heritage Dentistry is the kind of office I hope I can take my kids to one day. They are professional experts with such a friendly, loving demeanor. I didn't know you had a choice. My dental hygienist Sheila was so sweet to make sure I wasn't in pain and even had me laughing by the time I was walking out. No need for the laughing gas here! They gave me a printout of the cost: $867 per crown. But when the reminder call for the first appointment came (and went to voice mail), the lady said I should be prepared to pay $1,140 at that time. I showed up for my appointment and asked what happened to $867 per crown? The answer was that someone forgot to add an additional $273 per crown. Was the discrepancy an honest mistake, or bait and switch? I have no way of knowing, so I walked away from all the appointments and am now looking for a new dentist. I should also add, that Dr. Sikora's office expects to you to call back if it makes an appointment reminder call that goes to voice mail. If you don't call back they feel free to give your appointment to someone else.
