    SCAMMERS AND THIEVES…read more I've always tried to find the positive of every living situation I am in. The only positive of this complex is the view of the lake. I have never been treated so poorly in a place that I have paid to be. I have a scar on my leg that came about while trying to move maintenance equipment away from my front door so that I can exit my apartment. The equipment in question was a ladder and HVAC ducts from our apartment that were being fixing...but were left, for 3 hours, and only returned after we called the office to ask when they would finish fixing our air conditioning...while it was over 90 degrees outside... I lived with a barely operational toilet (the plumbing is terrible), and the only assistance I got was being taught how to "correctly" use a plunger until finally admitting that there was an issue with the tank. Also, hot water was a commodity that was difficult to come by...after 10 minutes in the shower the water ran cold. I resorted to taking baths to retain as much hot water as possible. The office staff provided inadequate maps and information on apartments when asked. They were unaware of which breeds were acceptable in the complex, which led to issues with a possible pet adoption. The maintenance staff are self-admittedly "lazy" (an apt description) and rude. The office staff are ill trained on policy or procedure, and often possess the attitude of a person that couldn't care less if problems are solved as long as it doesn't negatively affect them. The property management will see nothing but dollar signs when they are near you, and will do everything in their power to charge you with every fee imaginable. No security deposit is safe from these creative swindlers. My roommate and I were excited to move out. The move out process felt like a shake-down at best. We were told contradicting information from staff and management, we had to pay cleaning and painting fees (after cleaning and painting the apartment), and were charged a "carpet probate fee" that essentially charged us around $14 a month to use the carpet and contribute to replacing it due to it being "very worn and matted". No mention of stains, tears, or any other damage besides normal wear and tear. We were treated poorly during the move out evaluation...with the property management attempting to intimidate my roommate and I at every turn. What was most upsetting is that the staff attempted to imply we were being unreasonable by resisting the additional fees by saying "We are only doing our job". However...when we paid rent for over a year, where were they then? Why didn't they do their jobs when we needed them? The answer is simple...they wanted to help themselves to our money more than they wanted to help us.

    Dear Headquarters, I…read moream writing to express my concerns about the living conditions at one of your properties, River Park Tower Apartment Homes. I recently lived in this building for a year and had a very unpleasant experience. I would like to bring to your attention several critical issues that require your immediate attention. Firstly, the staff was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. They showed little regard for the residents' well-being and seemed solely focused on financial gain. This attitude creates a negative living environment and is unacceptable. Again, the staff members seem to prioritize financial gain over the well-being of the residents, displaying a lack of respect and consideration. Fortunately, Mrs. Neva Williams stands out as a ray of hope amidst this situation. However, with her being the only reliable staff member, it puts a lot of pressure on her to assist everyone. Regrettably, the other staff members, such as Ms. Monet and Mr. David, have not been helpful. Mr. David's behavior has been unprofessional, Mr. David has a mentality that is not aligned with professional standards and exhibits immature behavior despite his age. Ms. Monet appears to have a limited understanding of her job responsibilities. It is disappointing to note that Ms. Monet spends her work hours on Instagram instead of attending to her duties. Secondly, the building is in dire need of updating and renovations. The elevators were always broken, and the parking garage gate was constantly out of order, posing a safety hazard. The fire alarm went off frequently, and the staff only informed us that it was a false alarm after we had already evacuated the building. The worst aspect of living in this building was the frequent leaks, which occurred three times in my apartment. The maintenance staff showed little urgency in dealing with the issue, and despite calling the emergency number, no one showed up to help. My air conditioning never worked correctly, and after multiple failed attempts to repair it, I had to resort to using a fan aimed at me. Furthermore, the noise level in the building was intolerable. Construction and renovation were constant, and the building was noisy all the time. My neighbor to the left played loud music for hours on end almost every day, which was on the other side of my bedroom. Lastly, the rent increase every year was a significant concern. The building's condition was deteriorating, and more and more things kept breaking down. Flooding occurred every time my A/C or Heating units were on, which is unacceptable. In conclusion, I urge you to take these issues seriously and take immediate steps to address them. Your residents deserve better living conditions and a more professional staff. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I'd appreciate it if you email me directly pertaining to my feedback and frustration instead of insulting me with a generic apology. Additionally, I hope you are taking steps to hire staff who specialize in managing large residential properties and are committed to providing a high level of professionalism and service to all of our residents.
