I was trying to help him gain custody due to prior abuse by the child's biological mother. I came into that first meeting overwhelmed--bringing years of documentation, emotional, and letting them know I would be taking on financial responsibility for their services. Jeff and Ari spent hours with me, carefully reviewing every detail and truly listening. Not long after, they made a decision that I will never forget: they took the case completely pro bono. At the time, I could hardly believe it. Looking back now, knowing the kind of men they are, it makes perfect sense. What meant even more was their level of commitment to the case. Over the course of 18-months, both Jeffrey and Ari personally attended every single court date. They didn't pass us off to junior staff--they showed up, every time. Even now, that still amazes me. Their dedication, compassion, and integrity are unlike anything I've ever experienced from a law firm. They didn't just take on a case--they changed a child's life. They won the case and worked out a situation that was even better than we could have hoped for. Without hesitation, they gave their time, expertise, and resources to help a little girl have a better future. To me, Jeff and Ari are nothing short of heroes and they are incredible attorneys! I can never repay what they did, but I hope they know how deeply grateful I am. I truly consider them like family now. If you are looking for a law firm led by people of integrity, compassion, and incredible dedication--this is it. I cannot recommend the Abood Law Firm highly enough. God bless you, Jeffrey and Ari.

After numerous court dates and almost $10K in unnecessary legal fees, I am became extremely dissatisfied with his ability to represent me. He continuously lied under oath. I started to become suspicious regarding what I was being told by John Tatone, therefore, I reached out to another attorney. She told me that John Tatone mislead and misinformed me regarding the guidelines of a conservator. After finding this out, I visited Tatone and asked him why was he untruthful. I paid my remaining balance and immediately asked him to file to withdraw as my attorney. After 3 phone calls, 2 emails and multiple visits from my husband to his office, he finally submitted the petition to withdraw (2 weeks later). I caution EVERYONE... Do NOT hire John Tatone for anything.... Not even to represent a dead dog.

Richard Smutek is a great attorney. I'm the family member that my Ex-wife Bridget R., who left an…read moreuntrue scatthing review about Richard is talking about. I divorced my ex and pissed her off. She filed false accusations with Macomb Probate Court about me, saying I was stealing funds from my disabled son who has a brain injury. Richard Smutek represented me to defend against her serious accusations after the Probate court appointed an investigator to find proof against me of her allegations. The Court wanted everything going back seven years, Bank statements, receipts, registrations, etc. all documents were given by me to Richard Smutek and he presented them to the investigator. After two plus years of giving this court appointed investigator everything he wanted time and time again, all complaints/charges against me were proven to be false and dismissed by the Macomb County Probate Judge. Richard has been my personal attorney, and my business attorney since 1993. He even represented my ex-wife on a false domestic assault charge she tried to do against me. The police looked at the security video when they arrived to arrest me after SHE called them and said I was beating her. They saw she was the DRUNK AGGRESSOR in the footage who attacked me. She even went into my garage and used one of my razor knifes to make a cut above her eye so she was bleeding when the police got there. Thats what a nut she turned into after getting into heavy drinking and things that altered her thinking. Thats why I said enough and filed for a divorce. And thanks to her false crap once again, the Probate Court appointed investigator got to bill my sons trust account for EXORBITANT HOURS at $300.00 per hour and wiped out his acount of over $9,000.00 in billings for looking at bank statements and receipts. Good job Bridget the asshole! I'm sorry I had Richard represent her and get her off the domestic assault charges and filing a false police report with just a disorderly person charge. She was mad at Richard because he did a fantastic job keeping her from inflecting more pain in my life. He's an attorney with good morals and integrity, which is hard to find these days!

At first the rate was $1700, then it went up to $1800 for his paperwork and stuffs which is understandable. Then again he charged me $300 for joint sponsor. He didn't even tell me before about this issue. Basically I was forced to pay this since I was in the middle of that case. Since my case was taking long, I was asking questions on every steps to make sure everything is alright. However, he barely reply my questions. He totally ignored my emails, messages. If I send 5 messages, I get one answer after a long period of time. Then one day, to my surprise this lawyer gave me a rude reply that I have never expected from him. That reply stops me sending message, email or any kind of further communication with them. He wrote: ""Dear Mr. Hasan: You have exceeded the number of questions allowed in your fee. You have made over 100 contacts with us. Many of your inquiries are not within the scope of our work and are unnecessary. If you going to go to USCIS website and make up questions, we are not prepared to answer them. Your case is being processed at a normal pace. All additional inquiries, questions, e-mails and phone calls will incur $20 charge each time (from now on). If you do not pay, we will withdraw from your case."" Well, he could tell me that in proper way. What kind of professionalism is that? Instead he threatened me with charging $20 for each message/email. He also threatened to withdraw the case. If you cannot answer/handle your client, you better change your profession. I paid you to answer my questions, understand? If I knew the process I would have been filed by my own. I wouldn't hire you. Then again when the case was approved he started to behave nicely. He texts and emails me almost everyday. At the end he begged me to give him a 5 star review. Unbelievable! You got this! This lawyer was good in the past but nowadays he became greedy, very poor at communication, take the case longer than expected. Find a better lawyer than him.
