The clerk tried calling another Enterprise no luck. Overheard him tell the other person on the phone he was waiting for a call back as he sipped his coffee! Stated all the cars around the sides of the building had "recalls" fire hazards which I don't believe as another time we got into our rental from a vehicle parked on the side! They couldn't call to let us know! Let us waste our time driving there instead of calling me ahead of time as they knew they had a problem which I don't understand as the app let me make the reservation! Maybe they need better communication between the app and agents!

We're supposed to also fix a leak in the exhaust and replace a malfunctioning sensor, they did neither. Now looking for a new, more dependable vehicle, even though I have only owned this one for 6 months. Do not purchase from these crooks, I should have listened to all of the locals that warned me against it. If customers in the immediate area call you Crook Auto then you should probably take a good long look at your business practices! Paid waaaay too much cash for this money hog!

They said they would get a hold of us and fix those problems in about a month. We were patient, and waited 3 months before we finally contacted them. I called five times before I was able to talk to someone who works in the repair shop. I asked him when we could get the car in for them to fix it, and he told me in about a week. The time finally came, and we dropped off our car early in the morning (before they opened). It took them 3 days to fix those minor problems and we STILL have dents on our car. It's not worth the trouble of taking it back again. I'd never buy another car from here again.

Despite trying multiple phone numbers for this Budget location, I could never reach it, only the national Customer Service folks who I had a difficult time understanding and who were unable to transfer me to the store. I ended up using Expedia to book a car for my father at the price of $128. He then took a taxi (there's no Uber or Lyft) 55 miles to this Budget/Avis storefront, only to have an employee rudely say "Expedia guaranteed a car, we didn't, we don't have anything for you." I asked my father to put me on the line with the man, who I was hearing in the background, but he didn't; sadly, no one at the Budget/Avis store gave any concern to a 70-year old man who was now stranded in their shop. They were unwilling to offer any alterative or help. After more time spent on my computer and phone, we found him a car at the Columbus airport. Lesson learned - no more Budget/Avis business from our family.

When my father reached Teresa, the owner of the branch in Zanesville, she offered to finish her workday and then drive the hour and a half between Zanesville and Athens to pick me up and bring me back in order to rent a car. When other rental companies say "we'll pick you up," I do not believe they mean it to the degree that this company took it. Please give this company your business, we need more people who are dedicated to providing quality service like Teresa and her branches of Avis Rent a Car.
