If you choose food from the grills section you can't go wrong. I would not recommend choosing the currys/mexican dishes as they are not freshly made (or at least they weren't the last time we had one!) It's an ideal place to visit in the week if you really can't be bothred to cook and with 2 for 1 on main meals (you will pay around £8 for 2) you really can't go wrong. There is plenty of space as it is a large pub. The downside is that it doesn't really have a garden to sit out in during the warmer months. There are a few tables outside but they are near the car park and road so not really safe for families with small children although there is a small gated play area. It is a nice place to go to meet family & friends and we recently had a very good night out here celebrating a birthday.

The new people have already made a big change. Outside they have taken away the beer garden completely and extended the car park. Next to the pub they've also had the patio/ smokers area made bigger. Having the beer garden taken away is a shame as they used to have a bouncy castle up in the summer and it was the only pub you could go as a family. Inside there is a kind of chill out room with a few comfy chairs and tables. Round into the bar which is quite thin and tends to get a bit packed. They do have another room down the end where they sometimes show sports and this is where you can retreat to get away from the live music which can be quite deafening. They do do food, which I didn't think was great but that was with the old people. It's a nice place in the centre of the village.

Food is bland and to be frank over priced for what it is The waitressing staff are very efficient as are the bar staff, although the management are somewhat distant This pub has potential, and is well located overlooking the village, but I think the direction its going in is inappropriate for a village pub - where whats needed is warmth and friendliness rather than an attempt to compete with the chains on food (at more expense to the customer)
