The appropriate response would have been an apology and a refund. Please know you work in a service industry and your approach sucks. I have seen many a haircut regarding my husband and this truly is the worst cut he's ever received. A hairstylist should ask what would you like done? Discuss your hair texture if needed and both come to an agreement on how the cut should go. You defending the hairstylist is the wrong approach. The customer is always right. You should run a better business and treat your customers better. Disgusting and disappointing. I will makes sure to tell everyone to not to use Tuckers barbershop, and share the poor experience. I spent five years in LongBeach, Hollywood and Huntington Beach with a girlfriend who was a celebrity hair stylist at Heroin Salon on Cahuenga Blvd. And my roommate Was Orange County's top rated barber for 5 years running and got his start at syndicate barbershop in Long Beach. I would consider myself more-so spoiled rather than an accredited critic, but let's just say I know what to look for in a good haircut and barbershop. That all being said... I've been struggling to find a good barber since i moved to GP last year. I went through bad haircut after bad haircut and tried 6 different barbershops in Grants Pass. Finally found G St. barbers. Drove by the shop and they had their front glass roll-up garage door wide open. Right away I liked the vibe. So I scheduled an appointment with Martine. The decor in the shop was very cool and the energy was very welcoming. Like a gentlemen's parlor should be. Behold I was finally blessed with a well trained and highly skillful barber who took much pride in his craft. I got not only what i asked for but he was unfortunately set up for failure by having to fix the disaster i was left with the day before from another local shop, which he hurdled right over with gracefulness and precision. She text me later on saying that she had a problem with her kiddo this morning, then she text me and told me that she had a problem with kiddo that she would give me a free haircut, but I'm not interested to somebody that's not going to be on time. This shop made me think of those days. Sans artistic magazines and a blind barber. I walked in on a late-Friday afternoon and there were two stylists available. It worked out that Amy cut my hair and did a great job. She's very precise and thorough. I'll add she creates a very well-developed rapport with clients and has the ability to make one feel comfortable. The owner came in for a minute while I was there, I didn't personally meet him, but was told he is a barber with much experience. He also owns "Rogue Barbers" across the way--I've also had my hair cut there by Jennifer a few times and she did a great job. The owner and stylists are altruistic and oftentimes cut hair for any firefighter free of charge. We hopefully won't need so much firefighting this year, if any, but I think that's one among many good reasons to try Gillespie's or Rogue Barbers.
