I was told rudely that they could not see her because she was not an established patient. Mind you one other person was there at the time. I drove her to Springfield, and thank God she was treated immediately and she is recovering. She had pneumonia. I lost valuable time, but it worked out. Fast forward to today, my German Shepherd who WAS an established patient. Just had been seen as an emergency by Dr Emily Carol was in desperate need of her vet as she was lethargic, labored breathing and had thrown up white foam. I showed up there at 0830 and waited patiently for the clerk to address me. Which took 10 mins! She told me she would have to ask the doc. Meanwhile I'm waiting while my dog is suffering and another lady who was there with her dog offered to vacate the room seeing my desperation. Well, she ended up leaving and told me on the way out " this place is not for us!" So, still waiting to see if they are going to see my pup, and I see several techs behind the door laughing and carrying on. The girl finally comes out and tells me they will see her if I leave her and SOMETIME today they will see her! Oh, and I will be charged the 90.00 emergency vet fee!!!!!!!! I left and had to drive another 40 miles to another vet and thank God they had compassion and cared enough to see my girl. But sadly she did not make it. Because of the precious time wasted driving I lost her!!!!! If in fact I had done what this crap hole clinic had suggested, my dog would have died in a cold kennel by herself!!!! What kind of place is this? One you do not want to take your pet to if you care about them!!! I now see why Dr Emily is no longer working here. If I could give this place a neg 10 or 1 million I would! DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!!! PLEASE! They are TERRIBLE!!!! I might have lost my Rottweiler, but the emergency clinic in Springfield does what all places do, except Animal Vet Clinic of Diamond they prioritize their patients!!! They were unfailingly professional, compassionate, and they were even reasonably priced. I sat with my dog back in their kennel, all day long, so I had ample opportunity to observe the interactions of staff with each other and with patients. And it was all good. They called to report to me each day upon her condition - I didn't have to chase them down! As far as diagnoses go, all I have to say is, they diagnosed MY dog correctly AND promptly. And although, ultimately, she did not prevail, when that sad moment came, they did not charge me anything more for the euthanasia itself. Moreover, they made a paw print of her paw and presented it to me as a memorial. Also free of charge. I was very touched by these thoughtful gestures, above and beyond the excellent quality of their care.

He cleaned the dogs ears, put medicine in, told us what we needed to do, gave us what we needed to use, and sent us on our way. All in all it was a very productive visit. I have also had my dogs teeth cleaned here and he did not charge an arm and a leg like other vets do to clean my dogs teeth. I was very pleased. Will continue to use this vet because he has a no nonsense attitude, doesn't tack on a lot of extra frills that are not needed, but does inform you of what is necessary to keep your dog or cat safe and happy.
