You know those viral internet videos of people slipping and falling that give you a hearty laugh?…read moreWell, allow me to let you in on a secret: it's not funny at all when you're the one doing the falling. On January 3, 2022 I had a nasty fall near the checkout area of a large, discount big-box retailer. I will redact the store name for NDA purposes but it's the one you love and not the one you tease. When trying to stand up; I fell again! I was immediately in pain, filed a store report and the next day - opted to visit a chiropractor/physical therapist to assess my bodily damage versus the emergency room and that is when the Law Offices of Gerald Marcus came into the picture. While at the physical therapist, the staff found multiple injuries to varying degrees and mentioned that I absolutely had to sue the store in order to have the medical costs covered. They have worked with Gerald Marcus before and gave them a call on my behalf. Gerald Marcus is a personal injury law firm so we're talking car accidents, slip and falls, work injuries, etc. Don't worry - they aren't one of those sketchy personal injury lawyers with cheesy jingles and corny billboards. They have won countless litigation and settled cases worth monetary amounts you can only dream of; plus have expert lawyers/staff that can handle these cases with their eyes closed. I knew I would be in good hands even though this would be my first experience with attempting to sue anyone let alone a billion-dollar enterprise. I initially received a call from Luis Garcia, the Attorney Investigator. Luis was super friendly and made me feel welcome into the Gerald Marcus family. He came to my apartment directly and arrived with my retainer/on-boarding paperwork. He was very reassuring and thoroughly explained the next steps that would take place. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call from Gerald Marcus himself! The head honcho! The big kahoona! Although I was slightly intimidated; he too welcomed me and was very serious about the importance of my case and all the work they would do on my behalf. Being a super detail-oriented individual; I truly appreciated this. While in physical therapy, Gerald Marcus was working in the background to prepare for a settlement and if it came to it: a litigated case. I received phone calls from Matt Crayon every 5-6 weeks checking in on my medical status and asking if I needed anything/had any questions. I would have liked these calls to be a bit more frequent but I realize that being I was still in physical therapy; there wasn't anything monumental going on with my case, anyway. As time went on and I reached the end of my medical care; this is where the fun NCIS stuff came into play! Okay, not really, because this isn't TV plus not a criminal case. But, this was the point when court filings took place, contacts to the store's insurance company were made, forms were signed by me to prepare for a future deposition and I was assigned to lawyer Vincent (Vinnie) Consolo. Vinnie is a master at his craft and I knew he would take care of my interests. Plus, his picture is next to 'handsome' in the Webster Dictionary... he's a looker!  Wow! Sorry, let's return to more professionalism, shall we? Vinnie maintained communication through email and text and was flexible with deadlines. My only complaint was that there were times Vinnie seemed slightly annoyed/impatient with me or I didn't feel he was explaining things on my level. It felt like he expected me to already know the deal but I didn't - I've never done this before! Other than that, I absolutely recommend Vinnie. Expanding on that, one of the office assistants was also slightly unprofessional in her demeanor to me on the phone which I mentioned to Vinnie and he must have addressed this because she was very kind the next time we spoke. So again, my only qualm with Gerald Marcus is their slight habit of occasionally getting disagreeable and this is an area they should address. When all was said and done (my case was settled outside of court and yours truly would be getting a check!); I visited the office to grab my check and finally meet Vinnie in real life. The office building is beautiful: spotless, modern and with an adorable lobby area and this can also be said of the actual law office. Modern lines, airy -high ceilings, large windows with natural light, sports memorabilia lining the walls... this office was niiicccee! I met with Vinnie, met the main man Gerald Marcus, the rest of the staff, received a tour, talked about my case and honestly: felt like I wasn't just a client but also a friend! There was a lovely, personable element and I appreciate that being they take on hundreds and hundreds of cases at once (they even send out Christmas cards to clients!). I would absolutely recommend the Law Offices of Gerald Marcus for your personal injury needs and would give them a call myself if I suffer from another fall. Thanks Luis, Matt, Mr. Marcus and of course: Vinnie.

I sent them that message in MARCH, these people didn't get back to me til MAY. These people do not communicate and when they do, they treat you worse than a leper. You are NOTHING TO THEM BUT A TRANSACTION. They will lie to get you into the office and tell you what you need to hear to move forward, after that they switch. It's like a bad marriage. I'm glad they treated me this way, so that i could warn you. When i tried to address these issues, the lady on the phone tried to constantly talk over me and was being rude when I was trying to talk she just kept barging in with no regard for what I was saying. And because I wouldn't let them treat me any kind of way, she hung up in my face. I'm closing all energetic loops where people use manipulation tactics to control situations and take advantage of me in any way. I will absolutely not stand for this disrespect at all. The crazy part is, they don't know who I am or what I know or even who I know. Save yourself the trouble and don't be taken advantage of. The only reason I didn't read the reviews before making a decision is because i was in distress and they were referred as people i could trust. I cannot trust these people and neither can you.

From day one, Boris and his team demonstrated exceptional strategic planning, meticulous attention to detail, and an unwavering commitment to my case. Boris walked me through every step of the process with patience and clarity, making sure I understood my rights and options. His communication was always clear, direct, and honest -- qualities that are invaluable when you're navigating such a stressful time. When my case seemed hopeless due to the insurance company's aggressive pushback, Koron & Podolsky handled everything like seasoned pros. Their relentless advocacy turned the tide, and they fought for me as if I were family. The integrity of this office is unmatched. The staff member "Lilly" deserves special recognition as well. They are consistently courteous, responsive, and incredibly helpful. Every phone call, every question, every concern -- they treated it with respect and urgency. If you want an attorney who combines compassion with fierce legal skill, clarity with strategy, and advocacy with integrity, look no further. I recommend Koron & Podolsky Law Office a thousand times over. In summary, many dogs bark, but I prefer one that BITEs! And for Spanish-speaking clients: ¡Hablan Español!

When the property sold he then gave me another invoice stating I owed him $10,000. According to the invoice he was charging for a court appearance which the appearance was him relived himself from the case because it was settled months before the other. The other changes he claimed were emails and phone calls. There were no emails sent to him or phone calls once the case was settle. When I asked to see the emails and proof of the phone calls. He instead told escrow to hold the money until I signed a an agreement that I owe him that money. Instead of hold the amount he claims is owed to him. He had escrow hold the whole amount owed to me which was three times what he claimed was owed to him. Since I could not afford an attorney and I would not sign a that agreement. The money sat in a trust for months until I received a judgement he was able to get without me even being notified there was a hearing. The lawyer is a greedy thief. He knew he was paid in full the email he sent stated he was paid already. Six moths later when the property sold and i was to receive my money he was greedy and wanted more free money. I was under the impression that Mr Tamer was a stand up attorney. We have been working with him for…read morethe last 4 years. We were illegally kicked out of our home during Covid and Mr Tamer dragged out our case and then had the nerve to ask if we wanted $0 to $30,000.00 for our case when he gave us the impression that we would be getting everything we lost which was , on the low end approximately, $8 million- $10 million. When it finally came to the defendant s defaulting we were told to write down a number for our losses, which we did. I did not see that Mr Tamer put the amount , which we are 100% entitled to in the complaint in which we were very clear with Mr Tamer to sue for the requested amount of our losses which was $8 million to $10 million dollars. I had requested the paperwork and motions from Mr Tamer every time he filed a motion and Mr Tamer would never send us anything! When I was told we will be getting anywhere from $0.00 to $30,000.00 I about fell to the floor. We made it 100 % crystal clear what we were entitled to and a list of all of our losses because the owner of our building illegally went into our home of which they were not supposed to by law touch any of our items and Mr Tamer allowed them to and did not have our best interest and he ignored the amount we had sent him 3 or 4 times and never included the list of items in any of the complaints. Mr Tamer is supposed to be representing us in our case instead it seems he may have be persuaded by the opposing party and jumped the fence to their side. Why else would he all of a sudden be telling us we were only entitled to $0.00 - $30,000.00 when we had written an itemized amount of all losses. Why would Mr Tamer ignore everything we were seeking in the lawsuit? Why would Mr Tamer ignore everything request for any and all of the motions filed against the defendants?! Why was he ignoring every request for an advance with our lawsuit against the owners ? We had several advancement loan companies that were willing to advance us in our case and all he had to do was sign the paperwork. This is not how someone should be treated when you are being represented in a winning case and an advancement company is willing to give you an advance against the lawsuit. Why was Mr Tamer ignoring these advances unless he knew he was not going to give us our money in our case. None of this adds up and therefore we fired Mr Tamer because of all aforementioned bad situations. None of it is couture. We were not treated as Mr Tamer had discussed with us. If he did not think we could recover that amount then why was he not opposed to what were asking. We made it very clear that if the amount we were asking was above what he thought was the correct amount , we asked him to advise on the situation and he did not advise of anything of which he never disagreed with us. Mr Tamer did not have our best interest as his clients when we were illegally put out into the streets during Covid 19 pandemic moratorium! This was illegal for anyone to be evicted during the moratorium period and he allowed this to happen as well as he allowed things we had since child hood to be stolen and sold during this time and not to mention we were physically living on the street. This is unacceptable and I would not recommend Mr Tamer as a reliable attorney after the way we had been treated. We lost our entire life because of Mt Tamer not rep representing us how we should have been represented! We are beyond livid.
